Self-promotion, plugging products, websites, or social media is strictly banned and will result in a permanent ban. Posts must have the primary focus on weed, and any links to online shops or domains are considered advertising and prohibited.

The rules, in their words

1. Make it about weed.: - Make it about weed **ONLY**. - Selfies (pics/vids), pics/vids of utensils, pics/vids of grows/plants, and pics/vids of memes are allowed **however, have the primary focus on weed**. - Smoke Spots still need to have weed in it. - Post asking for music, movies, shows, books, games, etc... will be removed. There is dedicated sticky posts. - Pictures of food will be removed unless it is an edible or something you made that is infused, in which then you need to apply the proper post flair.
2. Attempting to buy/sell/source drugs is prohibited.: - The sale or purchase of drugs is not permitted. - Begging for drugs/money is not permitted. - Attempts to buy/sell or source/offer a plug will result in a permanent ban, even on the first occasion. No posts regarding meetups, etc.. - The solicitation of drugs is against Reddit's terms of service and falls under [prohibited transactions for illegal goods](https://reddit.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043513471-Reddit-s-policy-against-transactions-involving-prohibited-goods-or-services).
3. No promoting.: - Plugging/promoting your product/website/social media page will result in a permanent ban (including Youtube, TikTok, Instagram and any other). Blur/crop out domains on images. - Posting links to online shops, subreddits, or domains is considered advertising and will result in a permanent ban. This includes screenshots to Instagram, Telegram, and any other social media which could be used to lure users to the site. - **This includes unauthorized giveaways, surveys, coupons, and fundraising.**
4. No posts related to drug tests.: - We do not allow posts asking how to cheat, pass or scam a drug test or any other inquires about drug tests / if you will pass or not, how long to get clean, etc... - No one here can provide you with genuine factual advice or information and we don't want people getting false answers for drug tests, which can ultimately affect your career etc. - All posts regarding drug tests should be directed to r/drugtests, and or r/drugtesthelp
5. Low-effort and FAQ: - Low-effort posts include spam posts, general low-effort memes, [frequently asked questions](https://www.reddit.com/r/weed/wiki/faq), vanity selfies, reposts, and more. - Click [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/weed/wiki/rules/low-effort-posts) to read more on what is constituted as a low-effort post & why. - Common low-effort posts are: *"What strain is this?", "Is this PGR?", "How much weed is this?", "Did I get ripped off?", "Rate my bud", "real or fake"*
6. Be respectful and kind.: - Positive vibes only - Leave the negativity and hate at the door - Verbal assaults (*overly rude language, bullying, threatening, intimidation, harassment*) will not be tolerated. This is in line with [Reddit Rules](https://redditinc.com/policies/reddit-rules) - Arguing without reason and/or back and forth insults - No body shaming - Racist, sexist, or LGBTQIA+ slurs are not permitted. - Reports will be moderated on a case-by-case basis.
7. No growing weed advice: - This is not a subreddit for finding out how to grow weed. - Pictures of plants and grows are welcome, but questions and advice on growing, maintaining, diagnosing, etc… should go to r/GrowingMarijuana
8. No minors.: - The legal age for smoking is typically 18 and or 21 to purchase. It is recommended that you do not start smoking weed until your brain has fully developed at age 25. - We will remove your posts if you claim to be underage or ask when you should start smoking.
9. Do not seek advice on how to illegally smuggle or transport drugs.: - Illegal advice regarding drug smuggling and traveling with drugs is not permitted. - Asking for outright advice to smuggle and or transport drugs will result in a perm ban. - Check federal, state, and or country laws and do your own research. We will not allow discussions regarding this topic (legal or not)
10. No political or controversial posts.: - Political posts and/or statements **not related to weed** are considered off-topic and are removed. - Posts and comments about vaccines, abortion, extremism, and radical religion are examples of political topics. - Controversial posts and comments about weed that are intended to divide the community with personal beliefs are not permitted and will be removed. - Posts and comments about children and animals accessing and taking weed are examples of controversial topics.
11. Do not ask for medical advice.: - Medical advice refers to listing symptoms and seeking diagnosis, advice, or feedback. - To safeguard the health and wellbeing of our community members, we do not allow requests for medical advice, and we refer them to qualified medical professionals only. - It is permissible for people to describe their problems and ask others about their personal experiences with their conditions or related conditions. - For discussions see r/Medical or r/AskDocs
12. No Nudity or Onlyfans Promoting: - No NSFW selfies or Onlyfans promotions. There is a zero tolerance policy for these kinds of posts. - Any OnlyFans Promoting of ANY KIND will be removed including 'baiting', 'luring'' in posts and comments. Due to the influx of spam, ANYONE with a history of self promotion on Onlyfans subreddits will be banned. - No sexually explicit images, videos or sexually inappropriate content. - Any violations will lead to a Permanent Ban.
13. New users must have established account: - All accounts must have the following to post and or comment. - You need to have an established account! - You need to have at least X amount of karma - Your Reddit account must be at least X days old - Accounts must have a verified email address - Accounts caught using karma farming subreddits will be banned. *We do not disclose how much karma is needed, and how old your Reddit account must be, so do not ask.*
14. Moderator Discretion: - Moderators of r/weed reserve the right to remove any post/comment that goes against the culture, community, well-being of the sub, controversial, and or inappropriate content. - Reasons for removal will be discussed via modmail should you choose to appeal. - Be decent and we will happily discuss with you and explain the reasons for our decision. You'll be encouraged to state your case as well.
