This subreddit is for memes of historical paintings depicting people or animals 'tripping through time,' not for original art or general memes. Posts must be direct image links and show some form of editing, with the source recommended in the comments.

Before you post: Self-promotion or 'I built X' posts are not permitted as the subreddit is focused on decontextualized historical art memes.

The rules, in their words

1. Direct image links only.: Only direct image links are allowed here. All other posts will be removed.
2. No offtopic Memes: Only memes of historical paintings of people and/or animals tripping through time are allowed here (see sub description). If your meme better fits another subreddit such as r/memes or r/dankmemes, it will be removed.
3. All images must be edited in some way.: If you want to post art, please post it to a sub like r/art. This subreddit is for funny memes of historical paintings. Recommendation: Post the source (era / historical event) in the comments of your submission.
4. No top reposts and no spamming: Reposts of top posts are not allowed. Please do not spam the subreddit with reposts or low quality memes in an effort to farm karma. This isn't a complete ban on reposts. Reddit, especially meme subs, have ongoing issues with repost bots. Spam=instant ban.
5. Please follow rediquette and be civil: Be nice. If you aren't nice we'll ban you.
