Can you post your project here?

Self-promotion posts are not explicitly mentioned, but general rules require posts to be relevant to thalassophobia and use descriptive titles. Game or AI content has specific day restrictions.

Before you post: Posts with game or AI content must be posted on Friday. All other posts not covered by specific rules should adhere to general content relevance and title quality guidelines.

The rules, in their words

1. Only thalassophobia related posts and titles: If you’re posting something, ask yourself: Is it triggering my thalassophobia (fear of vast and/or deep bodies of water) or is it triggering a different sort of fear? Make sure your title highlights thalassophobia - see rule 3.
2. Restrictions on sea life: Sea life is permissible as long as it isn't the main focus of the content. Absolutely NO dubbed in animal noises (e.g. whale sounds). Megalohydrothalassophobia (fear of large water creatures) is ok under the following criteria: * It must not dominate the picture/video or be the sole factor of fear. * It should serve the purpose of demonstrating the scale and vastness of the body of water (i.e. Holy CRAP, _that_ giant thing can hide in the water??).
3. Use proper titles: Please title your posts appropriately. Examples that are not acceptable: "I was told to post this here," "OMG so creepy!", or emojis. We are here to enjoy or get scared by thalassophobia related pictures, we are not Facebook. A good title can draw a person in before they even see the picture, video, or story. A silly or low effort title will cause people to skip over it. Likewise, posts that contain sea life must have a title that is focused on thalassophobia rather than sea life.
4. No jokes, memes, or cartoons: While we all love a good laugh, it isn’t specifically what we’re looking for in this sub. Thalassophobia-related artwork is okay as long as it adheres to all the other rules.
5. Be nice and courteous: Seriously, there’s seldom a need to be nasty. There’s absolutely no need to be nasty on this sub. So don’t be.
6. No Reposts: Reposts will be monitored within a 90 day window. We also maintain a list of retired submissions that have been posted so much that they have been retired to the [Thalassophobia Hall of Fame](https://www.reddit.com/r/thalassophobia/wiki/hall-of-fame) never to be posted again...
7. No gore: Absolutely no gore is allowed on this subreddit, not animals, not people, nothing.
8. Posts with game or AI content may only be posted on Friday: Please note that this day does not allow for the breaking of any other rules. All posts must still be held to the standards of Rules 1-7.
