The rules, in their words

1. No Personal Attacks, Slurs, or Harassment: Personal attacks, slurs and harassment will be met with an immediate ban. Usernames are not exempt from this.
2. No Memes or Rage Comics: Memes and image macros will be removed. Post them on [r/SkyrimMemes](https://www.reddit.com/r/SkyrimMemes/) instead.
3. No Unrelated Material: This subreddit is for Skyrim only. Discussions and images of real-life topics, items and locations that remind you of Skyrim are not allowed. Screenshots of other websites (Facebook, X, etc.) are not allowed. Discussions of other Bethesda games (including other Elder Scrolls games) are better off in the appropriate subreddits. Check our sidebar for links.
4. No Piracy: Discussing digital piracy will be met with an immediately ban. This includes modding piracy. Do not beg for games or other gifts either.
5. No Low Effort Content: Low effort references to classic Skyrim jokes (Handprints, Merida's beacon, "freeze frame", etc.), pictures of your cabbage collection, and similar spam will be removed.
6. No Sexually Explicit Material: Not Safe For Work (NSFW) content has no place here. This includes screenshots from the game. The NSFW flair exists so you can appropriately flair posts that contain mature themes or discussions that might be inappropriate or triggering for some players, e.g. discussions about the darker sides of Elder Scrolls lore.
7. No "PC Master Race" or Console Bashing: We are all Skyrim players here. Elitism will not be tolerated. Be nice to each other.
8. Spoilers: Don't post spoilers without using spoiler tags or the spoiler button (for posts)
9. No Spammy Self-Promotion: Do not spam links to your YouTube channel, Twitch stream, or Let's Play. [Per Reddit's Guidelines for self promotion](https://www.reddit.com/wiki/selfpromotion), no more than 10% of the content you submit to the subreddit should be your own. Make sure content you submit is broadly interesting, not spammy, and contributes directly to the community. Repeat violators of this rule will be banned and reported to the site admins.
