Can you post your project here?

Self-promotion and advertising of any kind are explicitly banned on this subreddit. You cannot post anything to advertise products or services, whether they are your own or someone else's.

Before you post: Rule 3 clearly states 'No advertising/self promotion of any kind.'

The rules, in their words

1. Be excellent to each other.: Don't be a jerk. Treat everyone with respect and kindness. Debating isallowed, but keep discussions civil and constructive. No rudeness, personal attacks, etc.
2. No witch hunts.: No comments or posts attempting to rally people against other subreddits and users.
3. No advertising/self promotion of any kind.: Do not advertise anything on the subreddit, whether it is yours or not.
4. No requests for assistance or fundraising allowed.: Per the sidebar /r/self doesn't allow fundraising posts, please try in /r/assistance or /r/gofundme instead.
5. No posts or comments threatening self harm.: We're sorry to hear that you're in such a dark place, but /r/self can't help you. There is /r/suicidewatch where well-meaning and sympathetic people will try and help, but be aware they aren't trained. The [befrienders](http://www.befrienders.org/) website is a global list of local suicide help charities. Use it to find an organization in your country, you should be able to call or email them for free and they'll speak to you and try and help you without being judgmental.
6. No NSFW imagery. Discussing NSFW content is fine, as long as it's tagged.: Refrain from posting any NSFW content. This includes **but is not limited to:** porn, gore, sexual content and many more. This is to keep our subreddit a safe environment for everyone.
7. No misleading or fearmongering news or politics: Political discussion is allowed, but must be kept civil, respectful. Misleading political information is not allowed; Your title must include the full context. Blanket statements making a claim about all or the majority of any group (inc age, gender, race etc) which are unsubstantiated are included in this rule. Fearmongering is not allowed.
8. Self-hate rant posts: No self-hatred defeatist/rant posts allowed. If you're struggling with mental health or self worth, /r/self can't effectively help you. Please redirect your post to one of the following subreddits: **/r/IncelExit** **/r/mentalhealth** **/r/Healthygamergg** **/r/Vent** **/r/lonely** If you are feeling suicidal, please [read this](https://www.metanoia.org/suicide/) resource.
9. Commonly posted topics/disallowed topics: The following topics are just some of the topics not allowed on /r/self: - I can’t get a date/I’m lonely posts/I'm a loser posts (see sidebar for where to post these) - Incel talk - Men vs. women gender war debate/modern dating/red pill discussion - Controversial “rage bait” topics
10. No generalized Bigotry: No generalized bigotry of any kind including racism, sexism, sexual orientation discrimination, hate speech, personal attacks, etc.
11. No low effort, spam, overly crass/nsfw, or otherwise unwanted content: /r/self is a "catch all" subreddit, but we do not allow spam or other low effort posts.
