Self-promotion and advertising are banned unless you have explicit mod permission. Posts showcasing products or companies are not allowed. Videos must be uploaded directly to Reddit, and watermarks/logos are prohibited.

The rules, in their words

1. Original Content and Recipes: All photos posted on this subreddit must be your own pictures. No stealing from websites, magazines etc etc. We encourage recipes for homemade posts. One warning. Ban on second offense.
2. Content: This Content is permitted; - All posts about pasta alone must be homemade. no exceptions. - Prepared dishes like Spaghetti , Lasagne, Mac & Cheese etc may be homemade/store bought pasta. ~Must be homemade dish recipe~. Meaning you're going to have to make the sauce or other ingredients. Store 'Ragu' won't cut it. "Sauce" posts must include pasta. - News/Info is allowed. Arts/Crafts permitted case by case. - Non-Major Chain Restaurant posts permitted. List restaurant. One Warning.
3. Be Civil: Reddit Rules apply. No Targeted Harassment. No Racism or bigotry of any kind allowed. Do not bring up race, gender, ethnicity or sexuality in a negative context. You will be banned instantly for this. Its a food sub! You are allowed to be a snob. If you disagree with something, I would suggest you tell the person how to fix it. But keep it civil. Don't Troll people. Don't trash r/Pasta in this sub or any other. Find subs you like instead. This may result in an instant ban.
4. No Spam: Do not blatantly advertise on this sub without permission from the mods. Examples; websites, blogs, companies/products. - No Youtube channels, TicTok Channels, Facebook, instagram, Twitter, or anything like it etc. [that includes watermarks/logos] - if you post a video it must be directly uploaded to reddit. Don't Spam. If it's relevant , its ok to mention another subreddit in comments. Don't flood the subreddit with non-stop posts. One warning and then a ban on second offense.
5. No Shit Posting: No Cartoons. No Polls. No memes/ jokes. No shower thoughts. No low quality posts. No bullshit. You all know what shit posting is. Don't do it. One warning and a ban on second offense.
6. Absolutely No NSFW Content: Absolutely no NSFW Content(Not Safe For Work). This site is for everyone. You will definitely get banned for this one. No warnings. This may result in Instant Ban.
7. No Politics or Dietary Activism: r/vegan and r/vegetarian are great subs and friendly. But this is not the place for pushing a dietary agenda or morality. If you mention that a dish is vegetarian or vegan, that's ok. Just don't be pushing it. This site is for everyone. Also don't put down the veggie people. One warning. Ban on second offense.
8. Food Related Posts Only: No posts about the weather unless its about a grain shortage or something. Keep on topic. If you want a post about a drink, make it about a drink paired with your pasta. art involving food is permitted case by case. one warning. Ban on second offense.
