Can you post your project here?

Self-promotion and company advertising are not allowed. Submissions should provide an in-depth explanation and quality images/videos of metalworking projects. Text-based questions are often directed to a monthly thread.

Before you post: Rule 2 explicitly bans self or company advertising and repeat submissions of one's own content. Rule 3 requires in-depth explanations and quality visuals for all submissions.

The rules, in their words

1. Behavioral Guidelines: To ensure a healthy and inclusive community environment, users are expected to maintain a respectful and mature tone. Avoid spam, harassment, insults, encouragement of harm, hate speech and discrimination, even if it is in a joking manner. In most situations, politics are absolutely unnecessary in this space, and will be removed if issues arise.
2. No self/Company Advertising or Spam: r/Metalworking is not the place for self or company promotion. Repeat submissions or links to one's own content, sponsored sites, or company websites will be removed. Additional breaking of this rule may result in a ban.
3. Low Effort Submissions / Lacking Context: # Low Effort Submissions / Lacking Context **Quality Content** We want r/metalworking to be a source of high quality content related to metalworking. To achieve this we have some standards for submissions: **All Submissions Should Have** * An in depth explanation of the issue/problem * If mentioning gear or tools, properly describe, name, or attach photos of them * For Photos/Videos, high quality images, gifs or videos should be used. Low quality memes may be removed
4. Text Based Questions and Career Advice: **Text Based Questions** * Text based question posts that are short, contain too little information, or receive little feedback throughout the day may often be removed, and directed to the Monthly Advice Thread. **Career Advice** * This subreddit is focused on machining projects, and therefore it is best to move any questions related to careers and similar questions to our monthly advice thread, or other communities that are a bit more on topic.
