Self-promotion and 'I built X' posts are not explicitly banned but are subject to Reddit's general guidelines on self-promotion and spam, and must adhere to submission title formatting rules. Low-effort content, which could describe a simple project launch, is restricted to Mondays or public holidays.

2. Rule 2 - Language: Posts and comments should be in English or Malay.
3. Rule 3 - Off-Topic Content: Please use the [daily thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/malaysia/about/sticky?num=1) or r/Malaysians for quick questions (such as "Where do I buy x?") and posts **not** related to Malaysia or Malaysians.
4. Rule 4 - Self Promotion / Spam: Posts that do not follow [reddit's guidelines on self promotion](https://www.reddit.com/wiki/selfpromotion) and [guidelines on new submissions](https://www.reddit.com/wiki/reddiquette#wiki_in_regard_to_new_submissions) may be treated as [spam](https://www.reddithelp.com/en/categories/rules-reporting/account-and-community-restrictions/what-constitutes-spam-am-i-spammer).
5. Rule 5 - Submission Title Format: Post titles should follow /r/malaysia's [submission guidelines](https://www.reddit.com/r/malaysia/wiki/config/submit_text) (also displayed on the post submission page).
