Posts must be Tolkien-related memes and have the proper flair applied. Advertising and spam are strictly banned, with selling items resulting in a ban.

Before you post: Rule 8 explicitly bans advertising and selling items. Therefore, sharing a side project or product would be considered a violation.

The rules, in their words

2. Only Tolkien-related shitposting. Crossover memes are allowed.: All memes must have a Tolkien element present; crossover memes are allowed. Off-topic posts will be removed.
3. No NSFW posts. You pervert.: Memes with pornographic content and/or visually jarring elements are not allowed.
4. No racism, sexism, homophobia, or discrimination of any kind.: This includes needlessly gendered or racial posts intended to exclude groups of people. Incessant discussions about race will be removed.
5. No harrasing or threatening other users for any reason what so ever.: Personal attacks are not acceptable; discourse should be civil and respectful.
6. No same-day reposts or common reposts.: If a post is reposted on the same day or is a common repost on the sub it will be deleted.
7. No posts requesting or encouraging any kind of vote manipulation or brigading.: Links to polls, posts, or comments in other subreddits will be removed.
8. No advertising or spam.: Selling items and merchandise will result in a ban.
9. No IRL-politics. Claiming the throne of Gondor is allowed.: Posts about contemporary politics or politically-charged topics are not allowed. This includes international conflicts.
10. No cake day posts.
11. No "calling for aid" posts.: r/lotrmemes will not answer.
12. No posting screenshots of bot conversations
13. No scam, spam, or karma farming accounts
