Can you post your project here?

The subreddit is focused on solving common problems with uncommon solutions and strictly prohibits self-improvement tips, commercial products, and software tips. Posts should not be about problems affecting a tiny fraction of people. There are several types of content that are explicitly banned, and no specific rules mention allowing or disallowing self-promotion or project launches.

Before you post: Rule 5 explicitly bans commercial products with a specific purpose. While 'I built X' isn't directly addressed, it strongly implies that posts promoting or showcasing a commercial product would be removed.

The rules, in their words

1. No requests for, or offers of, medical advice
2. No self-improvement tips
3. No food tips
4. No software tips: No tips on software being used in the way it was designed to be used (that includes keyboard shortcuts)
5. No commercial products with a specific purpose
6. No Polls/Surveys
7. No Life Pro-Tips: /r/lifehacks is for solving problems. Basically, if there was no problem/issue in the first place then it's not a lifehack
8. No memes, image macros, plain-text image posts
9. No tips for problems which affect only 1 in a million people
10. No Amazon links
