Post with careYou can post, but there are rules to clear first.

Can you post your project here?

Self-promotion is generally restricted by the 10% rule, meaning only 10% of your posts can be to revenue-creating content such as blogs or YT channels. Additionally, posts selling, trading, or giving away products are banned, with specific subreddits recommended for market activities.

Before you post: Posts to revenue-creating content are limited to 10% of a user's total posts. No selling, trading, or giving away products.

The rules, in their words

  1. LEGO® Only: This is the world of LEGO® ! All things LEGO® compatible go to /r/buildingblocks.
  2. NO LEAKED IMAGES!!!: Self-explanatory. If it has a "confidential" watermark accross it, or has yet to be officially announced by LEGO®, then it is most likely a leak. Better be safe than sorry as the future of this sub depends on it.
  3. No Hate Speech: No hate speech of any kind. For ease, this rule also includes fighting-words and obscenities thrown at each other.
  4. Keep it Civil: From time to time contentious subjects come up. Stay calm and collected, don't insult, and don't bully. You may exchange ideas and opinions. We will not tolerate name calling, insulting, bullying, or other **uncivil** behaviour. Depending on your conduct you might be granted the permanent privilege to no longer post on r/lego.
  5. No Spam: No spam: This includes self-promotion violating the 10%-rule, repeated posting to LEGO® Ideas projects, YT channel posts, blogspam, etc. The 10%-rule specifies that only 10% of all posts can be to revenue creating content. This includes blogs, websites, YT channels, and the like. Blogspam are posts to blog entries which contain content lifted from other sites or which only consist of links to content on other sites. The blog doesn't have to be the users to count as blogspam.
  6. No Selling, Trading, or Free Giveaways: No Selling, trading, or free giveaways: Please post in /r/Legomarket for selling and /r/Legotrade for trading. No links to web stores except shop.lego.com (no affiliate links). No hustling and slinging products as posts or comments. No giving away stuff. No exchange of money.
  7. No Charity: We do not allow any charity posts. Either as stand-alone posts or as comments.
  8. No MT Posts outside of MT: A **Mega Thread** is a post where other posts are collected in on a given topic. E.g. What's it Worth questions belong in the What's it Worth MT and your daily purchase posts belong in the Today's Purchase MT.
  9. No Obfuscated Access: Sites that obfuscate access to content, e.g. redirecting to a signup page, may be subject to removal.
  10. No Heart String-Pulling Titles: Sorry, but we have a rule against using titles that could be exploited for karma by using potentially heart string pulling language.
  11. No Multiples: No multiples are allowed in a 48h period.
  12. No LEGO vs LEGOS: We do not tolerate any debate on the subject of LEGO vs LEGOS, as post or comment.
  13. No Naked HUMANS: We do not tolerate pictures or videos of naked HUMANS, with or without LEGO.
  14. No Memes: No Meme/image macro submissions. Post them in /r/legomeme instead.
  15. Do Not Post: We do not permit the posting of review videos or t-shirts.
