Can you post your project here?

Posts must be original photographs taken by the submitter, adhering to strict title formatting and showcasing intentional use of photographic standards. Detailed elaboration on techniques and engagement with comments are required.

Before you post: Submissions must begin with 'ITAP of' and not include extraneous information like gear. Posts of people are limited to Sundays and Mondays, and must include '[Portrait]'. NSFW posts have additional restrictions including Mondays only, NSFW flair, and '[NSFW]' in the title.

The rules, in their words

1. R1: I Took A Picture: Each submission must be: * A single photograph * Taken with a camera * Submitted by the photographer Techniques which allow the photographer to get around equipment limitations, such as exposure/focus stacking and panoramas, are allowed. Composites which change the content of the scene are forbidden. Posters are expected to be able to provide proof of authorship if requested. Plagiarism will result in a permanent ban.
2. R2: Standards: Your photo should feature intentional use of: * Composition * Focus * Color * Tone * Texture * Lighting * Depth of Field Composites, heavily altered photos, and mundane photos of common subjects (e.g. pets, the moon, eyes, airplane windows) will be removed.
3. R3: Titles: All submission titles must begin with "ITAP of" followed by a clear, concise, and objective description of the photo's subject or scene. Think to yourself: "how would a stranger describe my photo?" Do not include: * Additional context * Lesser known names or acronyms * Gear * Clickbait * Emojis or punctuation (caps) * Other extraneous information These details may be shared in the comments.
4. R4: Portraits & Photos of People: Photos whose main subject is a person or people: * Are limited to Sunday & Monday (UTC timezone) * Must include [Portrait] in the title * NSFW are limited to Monday
5. R5: NSFW & NSFL: Photos containing nudity, sexually suggestive content, gore or other NSFW imagery will be strictly regulated. NSFW photos: * Are limited to Mondays (UTC timezone). * Must be properly marked NSFW. * Must include [NSFW] in the title. * Must display extreme proficiency in the standards set forth in Rule 2, as determined by the mod team. * Must not be used to promote sexual goods/services or profiles which exist to promote sexual goods/services.
6. R6: No Reposts: A photo may only be submitted to /r/itookapicture once.
7. R7: Comments: OP is expected to elaborate on techniques, processes, and equipment used, engage with comments, and take constructive criticism with grace. Commenters are expected to remain on the topic of photography, ensure all criticism is constructive, and treat each other with kindness and respect. Insults, sexual comments, or other abusive language will result in a ban. Claims of plagiarism/AI/manipulation should be supported by reason or sources. Lazy accusations will be removed.
