Can you post your project here?

This subreddit is for showcasing individuals who are exhibiting "very smart" behavior, typically through bragging or condescension. It is not for general discussion or personal project showcases.

Before you post: Submissions should be examples of intelligence bragging, not self-promotion or personal project launches.

The rules, in their words

1. Identifying Information: Take a screenshot and redact all identifying information, e.g. real names, usernames (including your own), addresses, license plates, sub names, post titles, etc. Do NOT ask anyone for, or supply, someone's personal info, including usernames. Direct links to post sources are NEVER allowed.
2. Arguments: Posts shouldn't be part of an argument. This is to prevent people from using this subreddit to mock those they're debating with. We're looking for examples of people acting "verysmart" on their own without being baited into it. This rule applies whether you're involved in the argument or not. The exception is when the other user is being over-the-top with intelligence bragging, not just using their brag as a defense. Moderator discretion is applied.
3. Not Really Verysmart: This submission isn't really an example of some one trying to be “verysmart.” Common examples of things that look verysmart but aren’t really include: conspiracy theories, New Age woo, drug-induced posts, most of Trump's tweets, "sheeple," Neil deGrasse Tyson, Elon Musk, Rick and Morty, etc.
4. Reposts: Use the search function, and browse the top posts. If it has been less than 3 years since it was last posted, it cannot be reposted again.
5. Obvious Jokes or Trolls: Obvious Jokes or Trolls
6. Memes or Image Macros: Don't post memes, copypastas, or image macros (broadly defined as an image with text on it). This includes, but is not limited to, Snap Stories, the app Whisper, and "background color" Facebook statuses. Posts from Reddit that include someone pinging the name of this sub will be removed. The only exception to this rule is if the focus of the post is a comment someone made about the meme.
7. Long posts: Highlight relevant sections, or cut it down into an album. With videos, put excerpts in the comments.
8. Titles: Titles should be at the very least descriptive of what is in the post, and ideally funny and/or interesting. Titles consisting of nothing more than "Thought this belongs here" or "Found on [website]" will be removed.
9. Anti-Intellectualism: Don't post people explaining concepts, even in a way that seems pedantic. Having expertise in a subject or enjoying intellectual pursuits don't make someone "verysmart." This sub does not discourage learning or critical thinking.
