The subreddit is for 'hold my beer' moments, showcasing high-risk feats. Posts must depict such a moment and avoid animal harm, gore, or reposts. The tone should be respectful.

The rules, in their words

1. Must be a Hold My Beer Moment: Posts must include an example of a "hold my beer" moment. If the person in the video is a professional, or the feat occurs in a controlled environment, it likely isn't a "hold my beer" moment. Failure isn't required, but the high risk of failure should be present.
2. No death/gore/injury to animals: No death, extreme injury or gore, or harm to animals. If it's NSFW please tag it as such.
3. No reposts: No reposts from /r/holdmybeer that are in the top 100 posts or less than 4 months old. Common reposts will also be removed
4. No chill: Don't be a dick.
