Self-promotion, off-site links, and off-site videos are not allowed. All videos must be uploaded directly to Reddit and should not have watermarks from other platforms. Linking your own communities or platforms is also prohibited.

Before you post: Self promotion is explicitly banned by rule 7.

The rules, in their words

1. Relevance, IRL Posts, and Solicitation: All submissions must be related to GTA Online only. Memes and real-life posts must include some asset from GTA Online. Depiction of crime, sexual content, injury, or death in real-life is not allowed. Discussion of controversial real-life figures or topics is also not allowed. Any interaction involving real money, or other goods or services with monetary value is prohibited and will result in a ban.
2. No Bigotry, Disrespectful Conduct, Witch Hunting, or Doxxing: Bigotry, of any kind, offensive conduct, and joking about or reenacting real-world tragedies are not allowed. Disrespectful conduct is not allowed. This includes bullying, harassment, starting or engaging in fights, or referring to people shown in posts as "griefers," "tryhards," or other insults. Displaying someone's username to call them out or incite action against them is witch hunting and is not allowed. Sharing someone's personal information is doxxing and is not allowed.
3. Use a Descriptive Title and the Appropriate Flair: All posts must have a descriptive title and an appropriate flair. Please refer to the [New Master Post Flair Guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/gtaonline/comments/12ujp2a/) to learn about flairs and when to use each one. Please auto-flair your question posts as SOLVED when you have an answer. To do so, reply to a comment in your post with the words "answered" or "solved" in your reply. This will automatically apply the SOLVED flair to your post.
4. No Repetitive Posts, Low Effort Posts, A.I.-Generated Content, or Reposts: Posts considered to be repetitive or lacking effort will be removed. This includes posts that harp on the same thing without bringing anything new to the conversation or posts that do not lead to any meaningful discussion or engagement. Posts or comments generated by A.I. are not allowed. Reposting your own post or someone else's post to gain more karma is also not allowed and will be removed.
5. No Discussion, Promotion, Showcase, or Admittance of Cheating, Mods, Hacks, Glitches, and Exploits: Posts or comments discussing, promoting, showcasing, or admitting to cheating are not allowed. This includes mods, hacks, non-cosmetic glitches, and exploits. Links to mod websites and cheating tutorials are not allowed. Purely cosmetic glitches and mentions of "modders", "cheaters", or anything similar without advocating for them will be reviewed and allowed if appropriate.
6. No Looking for Players, Activities, Crews, Crew Members, or Vehicles: Any post looking for other players to play or trade with are not allowed. This includes looking for heist teammates, help with other in-game activities, Crews, players to join your Crew, or players to trade vehicles with. 7. No Self Promotion, Off-Site Links, or Off-Site Videos: Self promotion is not allowed. This includes linking your communities or platforms or showcasing content from off-site platforms. All videos must be directly uploaded to Reddit. Videos or links from other websites including YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, or Instagram are not allowed. Videos with watermarks from off-site platforms are not allowed.
8. No Simple Questions, FAQs, or Simple Bug Posts: Question posts must ask for opinions or be complex. Simple questions or FAQs will be redirected to the [FAQ Thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/gtaonline/comments/1hwn6jj/weekly_bonuses_faq_and_important_gta_news_please/). Issues that can be solved by [Rockstar Support](https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/200013306) will be redirected there.
9. No Phone Pics or Videos: Image and video submissions must be captured using either R* Editor footage, built-in console recording software, and or third party capture cards. Image and videos captured using camera phones and other amateur methods of screen capturing will be removed based on moderator discretion. 10. Survey Guidelines: If you wish to post a survey on r/gtaonline, send it to [Modmail](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=/r/gtaonline) before posting, so it can be reviewed by the moderators. Any surveys posted must be anonymous and may not ask for personal information. This includes but is not limited to actual names, off-site usernames, actual addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers. The Moderators reserve the right to approve or deny any survey after it has been reviewed.
11. Moderator Discretion and Proper Moderator Contact: Moderators reserve the right to take any necessary action to enforce the rules. This includes removing or locking content and banning users. They also reserve the right to amend the rules if needed. The rules are enforced according to their spirit rather than letters. Keep in mind that Moderators are people and should be respected like anyone else.
