Self-promotion and selling products are banned on r/golf. The only exception is the daily deal thread, which requires moderator permission before participation. Other content is generally allowed unless it falls under spam, soliciting, or specific content restrictions like 'rolling shutter effect' photos or AI-generated posts.

Before you post: Must message moderators for permission to post in the daily deal thread for selling products; otherwise, self-promotion and selling are banned.

The rules, in their words

1. No Solicitation: Do not sell your products on r/golf. The exception to this rule is the daily deal thread that is closely monitored by the mods of this subreddit. To participate in the daily deal thread you must first message the moderators for permission.
2. No spamming: Do not spam this subreddit with any information at any time. This subreddit is designed for natural and organic conversation.
3. No Buying/Selling/Trading: Keep all such posts to r/golfclassifieds. Even public offers to buy/sell/trade in comments are not allowed.
4. Be polite: Please do not engage in any kind of hostile communication with any poster on r/golf either here on the subreddit, in private messages OR in real life. There is no reason to be negative. We all just want to be better golfers and enjoy ourselves out there.
5. No Political Posts: Please do not use r/golf for political discussion.
6. NO NSFW Content: You will be banned immediately for posts with NSFW content that are not tagged as such.
7. No Rolling Shutter Effect Posts or Bad Photoshop Golf Net/Mat Ads: Got a photo you took on your phone of a swing with a mad crazy shaft flex? It's due to rolling shutter effect and there's no need to share it with us. And we've seen every bad photoshopped ad for a chipping net being used with a putter or DJ hitting driver on a putting mat on a driveway. Those posts will be deleted.
8. No AI generated posts: No AI generated pictures, no ChatGPT written posts, posts must be organic and your own content.
