Can you post your project here?

This subreddit is for sharing GIFs, with an emphasis on direct image links and descriptive titles. Posts must be animated, under 20 seconds (with some exceptions for popular multi-part GIFs), and avoid certain categories like reaction GIFs or content better suited for video. Reposts and excessive cross-posting are also prohibited.

Before you post: Self-promotion or 'I built X' posts are not explicitly addressed but fall outside the scope of sharing general GIFs. The rules focus on the content of the GIF itself, not its origin or the creator, suggesting an 'I built X' post would likely be removed as off-topic or not fitting the community's purpose.

The rules, in their words

1. No Reposts or Recent Popular Crossposts: * Do not post gifs that have already appeared on /r/gifs . Moderators may allow gifs that have gotten an extremely low score in the past, but that is not guaranteed. * Do not post gifs that have gotten more than 1500 points (at the time of posting) elsewhere on reddit in the last two weeks. This includes videos converted to gif formats. Cross-posts after this time are allowed. * Please use Karma Decay to see if your GIF has already been submitted. Frequent violations will result in a ban.
2. No Reaction, HIFW, Analogy, Cakeday, Upvote gifs: There are already subreddits more suited for this kind of content.
3. Better suited to video/Longer than 20 seconds: Incredibly long gifs ***or content much better suited to video formats will be removed.*** Duration must be twenty seconds or less. We may allow multiple cuts and/or gifs upto a minute long depending on the popularity of a post. Sound, text boxes, and gifs that heavily depend on captions are still not allowed.
4. Direct image links REQUIRED: No links to image pages or albums are allowed, your submission must be a single gif image. **Direct links that end in .gif, .gifv, .ogg, .mp4, and .webm format only.** URL-shorteners are **NOT** allowed in posts or comments!
5. No depictions of real-life harassment or assault: There are other subreddits dedicated to this kind of content.
6. No witch-hunts or brigading: Do not encourage any online or real-life harassment, and don't encourage people to downvote other posts/comments.
7. No nudity, porn, gore, or other obscene material allowed.: **These are not allowed in posts or comments - No exceptions.** If it can get you fired then it should not be here. Failure to comply will result in removal of post and banning. There are other subreddits dedicated to NSFW content. **Please mark risque posts and comments as NSFW.**
8. Titles must be descriptive: Do not make submissions with the title "This", "This is my favorite gif", etc.

10. Breaks Reddit rules/redditquette: Please familiarize yourself with the [official rules](/rules) and [reddiquette](/wiki/redditquette). We will remove any posts violating reddit's actual official rules (spam, personal information, vote manipulation, etc.) and reddiquette just makes reddit a better place to visit.
11. Not animated: Submissions that are static images, are not allowed.
