The rules, in their words

1. Dating advice and discussion: Dating Over Thirty (DOT) is about dating and the pre-cohabitation phase of romantic relationships for people over the age of 30. This is not a place to post personals or R4R's.
2. This is a discussion sub: Posts must share a detailed experience and either pose a question or request advice. Questions lacking sufficient context may be removed. Update posts and profile reviews are allowed. Posters are expected to participate in the discussion on their posts.
3. Requirements for posting topics: To post you must be a contributing member defined as a few months of history here and a number of constructive comments.No details are available as it depends on contribution quality.We want you making a genuine effort to pay it forward.We know that some seek urgent help.Unfortunately there are no exceptions.Please search for similar issues or post in the daily stickies.Members using a throwaway must message modmail from your MAIN account with a link to your post and the name of your throwaway.
4. Be kind to one another: Be excellent to one another! This is a place for all races, genders, sexual orientations, non-exploitive sexual preferences and humanity in general. Gendered/sexualized insults such as slut, fuckboy, manchild, and so on are not allowed even in jest.
5. No hate group ideology: RedPill, incel, femcel, FDS, PUA, MGTOW, etc... content is not allowed. Claiming ignorance of these hate groups and their ideologies is not an excuse. Do not dehumanize others.
6. No doxxing: No doxxing or personally identifiable information allowed. It is against Reddit's Terms of Service. It will get you banned from this subreddit and may get you banned sitewide.
7. No post karma farming: No low-effort posts, karma farming, memes, videos, screenshots, meta posts, shower thoughts or proselytizing.
8. No spam: No spam, self-promotion, commercialization, announcements, blogging, recruitment or surveys.
9. No rants: Rants, vents, AITA style posts, forever-alone posts, validation-seeking and other posts that do not promote discussion will be removed. These should be directed to the [daily sticky threads](https://www.reddit.com/r/datingoverthirty/about/sticky).
10. No frequent topics: Frequently posted topics removed at moderator discretion. Including but not limited to: starting over, virgins, living with parents, dealbreakers, chemistry/spark, single parents, dating anxiety, sarcasm, texting issues, ghosting and moving on. 11. Mod Discretion: Removed per mod discretion. Removal might be due to failure to start a discussion/seek advice, agenda pushing, etc. Generally, the thread/comment was determined not to be in the best interests of r/datingoverthirty.
