Self-promotion, advertising, and soliciting DMs are strictly banned. This includes outside links and sharing personal information like social media handles. The subreddit focuses on providing advice for specific dating situations.

Before you post: Rule 3 explicitly prohibits self-promotion, advertising, and solicitation of DMs.

The rules, in their words

1. No hate-speech, personal attacks, or harassment: This is a positive community. Any bashing, hateful attacks, or sexist remarks will be removed. You may also be permanently banned. You can state your opinion in a constructive manner.
2. Sex related Topics: If the post strictly involves acts of sex like what to do, is this normal, do people like, does this feel good, my partner did this, etc it belongs on r/sex
3. Spam / Advertising/ Solicitation of Dms: No spam, outside links, self-promotion, personal information such as instagrams, or solicitation for dms is permitted
4. Pickup Artist / Red pill language /MGTOW: No pickup artist, MGTOW, or red pill language. They are at odds with the sub's goal of creating meaningful connections and relationships.
5. Off-topic / Low-effort: This is a place to ask for advice in regards to dating. Topics meant to spark outrage and discussion rather than genuinely asking for advice will be removed and subject to ban. Memes and other low-effort content may be subject to removal.
6. Self-pity: “No posts containing language that would suggest self-pitying or self-loathing" these type of posts are better suited for a confession based sub.
7. Repetitive topic: Main topics or questions about: Does body count matter, having lots of money or no money matter: depends on the person and what age they are Does height matter: Does being a virgin matter? Age difference? Answer: Depends on the person Penis or Boob size: Answer depends on the person Race or ethnicity: Depends on the person The answer will always be it depends on the person. We want more authentic questions based on specific advice needed for a situation.
8. Generalizations & Gender war: No gender is a monolith or a hivemind. It comes down to each individual person. Stop the posts that say women do this or men do this. Stop the gender war of men vs women and who has it worse. This is for advice not to complain hence see self-pity rule.
9. Body Count: No Body count posts are permitted. They only lead to sex shaming and rule violations with sexist slang and mysognistic or misandrist type language.
