Don't launch hereSelf-promotion or “I made X” posts get removed or banned.

Can you post your project here?

Self-promotion and for-profit activity are banned. This includes referencing your own content like blogs, YouTube channels, or stores, as doing so will result in a ban. The subreddit is focused on curly hair care, not making money or gaining followers.

Before you post: No self-promotion or referencing personal content (blog, YouTube, Instagram, store, etc.). Violators risk a ban.

The rules, in their words

  1. Routine required for photo posts (within 1 hour): **Photo Posts:** Current routine including brands of products used, the order and technique in which you applied them, how you dried your hair, etc. Failure to include this will result in post removal. **Help Posts:** Help us help you by providing necessary information and reading applicable entries in the wiki first. **Other Posts:** (memes, products, etc.) Set the flair appropriately so your post stays up.
  2. Content must relate to curly hair: Keep posts and comments related to embracing naturally curly hair. Off topic commentary, being overly critical of others, and posts related to altering hair to remove curls (blowouts, flat-ironing, keratin treatments, maintaining straight hair, etc.) are subject to removal. **This also includes asking for medical advice** regarding balding, hair loss/fall/thinning, scalp irritation, or any other medical condition. Please see a doctor, dermatologist, or trichologist in person or try r/AskDocs.
  3. Reddiquette: Be tactful and practice good [reddiquette](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette).
  4. No sexual/creepy/harassing comments: Keep it PG. Nearly all posts & photos in this subreddit are original content, meaning there is a real person behind each post who deserves to be treated with respect.
  5. Include everybody: Anyone with any amount of texture in their hair is welcome to participate here. Curlies, coilies, and wavies can all use the term "curl" to refer to their own hair. Users are more than welcome to check out r/wavyhair or r/naturalhair if they wish to do so, but do not invalidate their concerns or exclude them from this space.
  6. Respect cultural terms: The natural hair movement has a long history and the words created in it have meanings. It’s important to respect where these words, techniques, and more came from, thereby celebrating the importance of the work done by these early pioneers. Please be aware of terms such as: “big chop”, “afro”, and “natural hair journey”. Be thoughtful and respectful about using these powerful terms appropriately!
  7. No self-promotion/for-profit activity: No ulterior motives for posting are allowed! This subreddit is about curly hair care, not making money or gaining followers/subscribers. If you have to ask whether something is self-promo, it probably is. Do not reference your own content, including: your blog, YouTube, survey, website, Instagram, OnlyFans, store, etc. Posting this content will result in a ban. If you're unsure, see [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/curlyhair/comments/kbh0ow) for clarifications and more info.
  8. Do not privately message users: Reminder: **this is a SFW subreddit.** Do not privately message users without express permission. If you wish to contact someone via PM, ask them in public first. If someone sends you a PM against your wishes: **SAVE THE PERMALINK**, [report the message](https://www.reddit.com/r/help/comments/61pjho/how_do_i_report_a_private_message/), then block the sender. You can also permanently turn off both chat and private messages, which we recommend!
