1. Be kind and courteous to others
2. Do not share copyrighted material
3. Use the NSFW flag generously: Please add a NSFW tag to any posts that would be unacceptable in a professional setting/modest workplace. This includes clothing, profanity, plushies and drug paraphernalia
4. No self-promotion (including pattern tester requests & surveys) except in the weekly promo thread.: No self-promotion or surveys are allowed outside of the weekly promo thread. We try to keep our sub full of fun contributions & discussion but we aren't a platform to sell products, promote your brand, or solicit pattern testers. This includes using language that is promotional, references to commissions, vendor events, marketing etc. We do allow a very small amount of self promotion for very active members, solely at the mod team’s discretion. Contact the mods for approval prior to posting.
5. Post pictures of pets + babies only on Thursday: Posts of products made for pets/children are allowed any day so long as the focus of the post is on the crochet work. Any post where the focus is on the pet or child belongs on Thursdays. We would prefer that childrens faces are blurred or covered in photos for privacy reasons Remember “Thursday” happens at different times in different places of the world. Please keep time zones in mind when reporting.
6. Post pics of stash, yarn, hooks, books, tools, "what can I make with this" queries on Saturdays only: Any posts about tools used to crochet belong on Saturday . This includes; *Stash pictures/yarn hauls. *Hooks *Books *Other tools *What can I make with this yarn? queries *Discussion about tools If you want to post yarn hauls on other days, we recommend r/yarn, r/yarnaddicts or r/yarnporn. 8. Please post questions in r/CrochetHelp: Please post questions in r/CrochetHelp including but not limited to quick questions, FAQ and beginner questions.
9. Stale Topics. Please expand for details or see the wiki for more detailed reasons: Certain topics are no longer active discussion points on the sub. These currently include Hobby Lobby, Steering wheel covers, Selling advice, the Sweater curse, Fast Fashion, crochet pain/medical issues, and thrift store finds/rants about cost. 10. No off topic posts/not related to crochet: Please ensure all posts are related to crochet . Off topic posts will be removed.
11. Ban evasion: Don't create or use other ids to circumvent your ban
12. No fund-raising or solicitation of goods or yarn: No fund-raising or solicitation of money, goods or yarn. No trades, please check out r/craftexchange if you wish to trade items with someone
13. Repost (Bot or Karma Farming): Please do not repost/claim credit for work that is not your own.
