This subreddit is strictly for requesting book suggestions. Self-promotion, advertising, posting reviews, or asking to find books is not allowed and will lead to removal and potential banning.

Before you post: Posts promoting a book you or someone you know wrote will be removed and may result in a ban.

The rules, in their words

1. Not a book request: **This subreddit is for people to ask for suggestions on books to read.** * Do not post your book review. * Do not ask where to get a book. * Do not ask “what’s the name of this book?” * Do not ask “should I read this book or that book” * Do not post something that isn’t a request for books. Go to /r/FindABook, /r/whatsthisbook, or /r/Tipofmytongue if you are looking for a specific book. Go to /r/bookreviewers to post your book review.
2. No self-promotion or advertising: This subreddit is for people to ask for suggestions on books to read. Posts or comments that are specifically meant to promote a book you or someone you know wrote will be removed and you may be banned from posting to this subreddit.
3. Follow Reddiquette: Please follow [Reddiquette](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette) in all posts or comments. Repeated failures to adhere to Reddiquette may result in a ban.
4. No illegal content: Do not ask for or link to illegal (pirated) content. Any illegal content will be removed and user banned at the moderators' discretion.
5. Not a suggestion: Top level replies must be suggestions or question to clear up the request.
6. No posts about where to find books & book recomendations: Posts requesting where to find physical or digital copies of books, or book recommendation websites will be removed. This subreddit is for requesting books. If you’d like to post your book reviews or find other book suggestions, please try GoodReads.
7. No AI or ChatGPT posts or comments: No robots allowed. Zero tolerance on AI/ChatGPT posts & comments.
