This subreddit is for sharing images that are both blessed and cursed, with titles starting with 'blursed' or 'blursed_'. The 'blursedness' should not rely on text, and memes are not allowed. Low-effort images, reposts, videos, GIFs, NSFW, and political content are also prohibited.

Before you post: This subreddit is for sharing images, not for self-promotion or product launches. Any post that could be considered self-promotion or a 'product launch' would likely violate the spirit of the subreddit and be removed.

The rules, in their words

1. Images must be both blessed and cursed: - If an image makes you happy, but then at the same time, frustrates or disgusts you, then it is likely blursed. - Images need to have both good (blessed) and bad (cursed) aspects for it to be "blursed". - Titles should reflect the blursed
2. Title Guidelines: - Titles must start with "blursed" or "blursed_". Titles should be short, few words max (this means no sentences).
3. Image relies on text/is a meme: - Memes are not allowed. Submissions where text is needed to make sense of the post, and the 'blursedness' of the image is reliant on text are not permitted. There will be some exceptions at mods discretion. - A meme is defined as an image that follows repetitive meme formats, or could be posted and allowed on subreddits such as r/memes or r/dankmemes. - A good rule of thumb is that if you can’t cross out all the text in the image and still have it be blursed, then there is too much text.
4. NSFW, Offensive Content or Political: - NSFW content is not allowed (gore, porn, blood), and will be removed. **Posting NSFW will incur a ban of at least 7 days.** - Offensive content will be removed under this rule. This includes content such as: Nazi-related posts, racism, terrorism-related content, etc. - Due to it's divisive nature, political content is also banned. r/BlursedImages is for admiring the most blursed images on the internet, not for waging political arguments, and we want to keep it that way.
5. No recent reposts: - No Reposting posts that are under 3 months old, or anything with a Post flair within 1 year. - Chainposts are also not allowed **and will lead to a ban of minimum 7 days**. 6. No Videos/GIFs: As the subreddit name suggests, Video and GIF posts are not allowed.
7. No low quality/low effort images: Images that are low quality, low effort, and or not suitable for this subreddit will be removed. This includes but not limited to: - Distracting watermarks - Bad cropping - Low resolution images - Hairstyles/Haircuts - Basic Cosplay images - AI Generated - Basic pencil / pen /marker drawing’s - Poor attempt / Low Effort / Lazy - Action figures in positions - Screenshots of social media - and more [see here](https://www.reddit.com/r/blursedimages/wiki/index/) *There will be some exceptions*
8. Be Civil and Respectful: - Don't be racist, offensive, or otherwise rude to other users. - Keep comments civil and be respectful of your fellow users.
9. Reddit Rules and Reddiquette: - Posts must follow [Reddit Rules](https://redditinc.com/policies/reddit-rules) and/or [Reddiquette](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette). - No posts, comments, and or images about / includes (but is not limited to) deaths, terrorist attacks, rape, sexual assault, murder, war, bombings, and school shootings.
