The rules, in their words

1. No ID requests: * Do not submit ID requests. There are other subs for that. Do not submit posts asking the sub to identify something in a photo or video. For example, do not ask what sort of insect is in a photo or the type of mold growing in your home.
2. No Trolling: Any form of trolling, including concern-trolling, sea-lioning, flaming, or baiting other users will not be tolerated * No quarantined sub users **Automoderator will remove a post or comment if it:** * has been reported by multiple users * has been posted by a bot account, novelty account, throwaway account, or an alternate account created to circumvent a ban *Troll, bot, novelty, throwaway, ChatGPT and alternate accounts are subject to an immediate ban without a warning*
3. No Spamming: Do not spam the sub. This includes content that is submitted or crossposted into more than 5 subs at a time. These items will be marked as spam and no advanced warning will be given. Do not use the sub to sell or advertise goods or services. **Automoderator will remove a post or comment and mark it as spam if it:** * contains any spam or comment spam * sells or advertises goods or services * contains links to pirated content *Spam accounts are subject to an immediate ban without a warning*
4. No Hate Speech or Bigotry: Bigotry and hate speech directed towards groups of people based on race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, religion, national origin, immigration status, social status, religious affiliation or disability is not allowed This also applies to usernames. Do not justify bigotry. Do not incite hatred. The moderators have the final say on what is considered offensive enough to remove. *Users that break this rule are subject to an immediate ban without a warning*
5. No Personal Attacks: All discussion must be civil. Engage with common decency towards others and treat others with courtesy. Personal attacks are not allowed unless you're calling out a bigot or anti-vaxxer. You may not use the sub to harass other users or mods. This includes calling a user a paid shill, paid troll, or any other personal attack.
6. Quality control: Posts and comments are subject to removal if they do not fit the sub's purpose. * No homework posts. * Posts with less than a 50% karma score are subject to removal * No low effort posts. * No pseudoscience. * No requests to predict the results of evolution. * No meta posts. * No anti-vaxxers or COVID-19 deniers * No NSFW posts * No opinion articles * No content featuring dead animals * No questionable studies * No studies with ethical concerns * No ChatGPT, AI, or similarly generated content
7. No medical questions: Do not use the sub to ask medical questions. There are other subs for that. Do not use the sub to ask if you can eat a specific item; this includes hypothetical questions.
8. No conspiracy theories: Do not submit posts about conspiracy theories. Do not submit posts about paranormal content.
9. Do not submit posts about religion: Do not submit posts about religion. There are other subs for that. Do not use the sub to proselytize for any religion.
10. No surveys: Surveys and polls are not allowed * Do not ask this sub to participate in research studies or academic surveys * Do not ask the sub to participate in a homework survey or user created poll
11. Low Karma: Posts are automatically removed by a bot without any penalty if you do not have a reasonable amount of post *and/or* comment karma on your account. * These limits are in place to prevent spam, bot, and troll accounts from posting on the sub. * These limits are in place whether you have a brand new account or an old account with low karma. * You can attempt to submit another submission at a future time when your account has accumulated more karma. **There are no exceptions to this**.
