Self-promotion is not explicitly mentioned. However, posts must be on-topic for atheism, secular living, or related discussions. Posts should not be low-effort and need significant content or discussion beyond just a title. Proselytizing is strictly prohibited.

3. Off Topic: Submissions completely unrelated to atheism, agnosticism and secular living may be removed. Trigger Warning: This is a community in favor of scientific understanding, equality for all & positive secularism, also we oppose religious influence and over-reach. Things such as LGBT, Science News, politics, & similar discussions are often of interest to atheists & are considered relevant to this subreddit. 6. Low-Effort Posts: Posts which only contain a title are not allowed and will be removed. Posts should contain significant content or discussion relevant to the title. Simply adding filler text to the body does not meet this requirement. These rules apply to both link and self-posts.
7. Proselytizing: Posts that appear to be for the purpose of proselytizing will be removed. Proselytizing includes things like "sharing the good news," warning atheists of hell, and unsolicited AMAs relating to major religions. Commenters who repeatedly proselytize in their comments may have posts removed and may be banned.

9. Reddit rule: Brigading: If you're linked via a meta subreddit don't vote. If you're just going in there to shitpost or get into an argument, don't comment. If you actually have something that is worthwhile to contribute and isn't trying to shove your viewpoint down everyone's throats, think first before commenting. If you legitimately find the thread on your own (you can be subscribed to both meta subs and a sub that's been linked to without getting nuked for brigading) please feel free to comment and vote.
