Can you post your project here?

Self-promotion and spam posts are banned, including links to Amazon or crowdfunding sites. Posts must be relevant to zero-waste and not involve greenwashing. Craft/upcycling posts are allowed only if self-made and practical.

Before you post: Self-promotion, including crowdfunding links and Amazon links, is prohibited. Craft/upcycling posts are an exception if they are self-made, practical, and help reduce waste.

The rules, in their words

1. Be respectful: This subreddit is a space rooted in supporting and being compassionate to other community members. Do not personally attack other users, cause or perpetuate arguments, or otherwise cause discord here.
2. No shaming or non-constructive criticism: Please be mindful and respectful, we all have our journey to take, and while we should always aim to improve ourselves a little more every day, different people will take different times through different motivations. If you'd like to offer some criticism our best advice would be to first thank and commend the changes they have made already before offering suggestions in a compassionate manner.

4. No greenwashing: Please do not submit content about companies, products, or initiatives that falsely claim to be sustainable for promotional purposes. You can read more about greenwashing [here.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenwashing)
5. No misinformation or anti-scientific rhetoric: This is a science-based subreddit. We have a zero-tolerance policy for the deliberate spreading of disinformation such as denial of human-caused climate change. Users found to be sharing such rhetoric will be immediately and permanently banned. Users who spread misinformation — which differs from **dis**information, which is done with intent — will have their submissions/comments removed and receive a warning.
6. No self-promotion or spam: For people posting their own content, make sure to follow Reddit's rules for self promotion and spam. If you do not, your post will be removed and you may be banned. Links to Amazon are prohibited. Kickstarter and other crowdfunding links are prohibited. 7. No surveys or interview requests: Surveys, interview requests, calls for content contributors, and other solicitations are prohibited.
8. Craft/upcycling posts must follow our guidelines: Craft posts will be curated based on relevancy. Posts must be something that you have made yourself. We are looking for posts that feature a creation that are practical in nature. There is preference for crafts that help you continue to reduce waste, such as reusable versions of disposable items, or repairs to things that would otherwise have needed to be replaced.
