Can you post your project here?

Self-promotion and promotional content are generally not allowed on this subreddit. Sharing your own shops, sales, or crowdfunding projects is prohibited. Links to external sales or deals should be posted in designated subreddits. Overtly promotional posts may be removed.

Before you post: Promotional content is not allowed, including personal shops, sales, deals, social media, crowdfunding, or referral links. Links to sales/deals or crowdfunding should go to specific subreddits.

The rules, in their words

1. No Counterfeits or Replicas: **Absolutely no posting of counterfeit/replica watches or websites.** Posts or comments will be removed and run a high risk of a ban. * Discussion about replicas, counterfeits, and knock-offs are allowed only if they are educational in nature and provide a benefit to the community. * Asking for or linking to websites that advocate reps will not be tolerated. * Watches infringing on registered trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, or otherwise bearing the name of another brand are not permitted.
2. Fake Checks only on Fridays: Requests for legit checks/fake checks/etc will only be allowed on Fridays in the stickied mega thread.
3. Uncivil Discussion: **Spirited discussion is encouraged, but insulting another person (even in retaliation) is not acceptable.**. Please report such instances to the mods. * Criticism *towards a watch* are acceptable. Negative comments *towards another person*, are not. This includes comments about a person's wealth or physical appearance. * You are entitled to your opinion, but don't be judgmental, snide, or unpleasant because of it. * Politically provocative posts/comments will be removed
4. NSFW Post or Comment: **Posts must be SFW and SFL.**
5. Promotional Content: **Promotional content is not allowed.** This includes, but not limited to your own shops, sales, deals, social media, crowdfunding, or Amazon referral links. - Sales/WTB/Trades should go to /r/WatchExchange. - Sale/deal/coupons should go to /r/FrugalWrist. - Crowdfunding / Microbrand promotion should go on /r/MicrobrandWatches. While blogs are generally allowed, refrain from posting only links to your blog. Overtly promotional posts may be removed and user's banned at the mod's discretion.
6. Memes, circlejerk posts and comics: Memes, circle jerk posts and comic belong in /r/watchmemes or /r/watchescirclejerk.
7. Simple Questions, FAQs, and Recommendations: Questions that can be answered with a single comment should be posted in the stickied Semi-Weekly Inquirer thread. Recommendation requests for a watch, strap, or services should also go in this thread. However, you are still welcome to create a separate post should you feel like you would want further discussion with your recommendation request.
8. 250 characters or Wrist Check: Stand-alone Image Posts must consist of: - A comment **about the watch** consisting of 250 or more characters (*characters* not words - so about a tweets worth). If you just want to show off your current watch then there is a daily Wrist Check thread designed for such submissions. Posts tagged 'Identification' or 'Identify' do not require a 250 character comment. However, the more information you provide us, the better we are able to help you identify the watch in question.
9. Stolen content/unattributed content: Using a photograph that is not yours in order to pretend that you own a watch is a form of trolling and therefore not permitted on this sub.
10. Driving Photos: * No posting photos you've taken while you're driving. * Obvious car-in-motion photos will be removed. * If it is suspected the car is being driven at the time will likely also be removed. * But just posing with the watch by the steering wheel, or parked up on the street / carpark / driveway are still OK to post.
11. Posting Rules Violation: Rules made at the request of the community: * All post titles must contain [brackets] at the beginning. * Image and video posts must provide additional information in a comment of 500+ characters. 12. No AI generated content: No content created by AI image generators or text bots is allowed.
13. No politician's watches: If it's a pic or a question about a politician wearing a watch then we no longer allow these. They just descend into political commentary and arguments. And the answer is generally googleable anyway.
