Can you post your project here?

Self-promotion or posts about personal projects are not mentioned in the rules. The subreddit is strictly for personal sharing to get things off your chest, and does not allow opinions, advice, or rants. Posts must be personal and written in an 'off my chest' style.

Before you post: Self-promotion is implicitly banned as it violates the core purpose of the subreddit, which is for personal catharsis unrelated to external projects or products. Rule 3 and 7 strictly define the content as personal experiences and feelings.

The rules, in their words

1. Feel free to speak your mind and please be open-minded: This is a place where all who want to get something off their chest, can get something off their chest. The Mods at /r/TrueOffMyChest will never enforce any rules that exclude any race/gender/etc. or other views from posting in /r/TrueOffMyChest. We ask that you do the same.
2. Do not break TOS: Do not threaten or fantasize about violence. Sexualizing minors and graphic pedophilia are not allowed. Begging for karma is against Reddit's ToS and will be removed.
3. Posts must be on topic: Posts should be personalized and written in an off my chest style. Posts here should not be: • Opinions, generalisations and blanket statements • Questions, surveys or polls • Requests for relationship advice • Impersonal political rants • Rage bait, obviously fake stories and trolling attempts • Complaining about or linking to other subreddits and users • Overly descriptive NSFW,fan fiction and fetish bait If you're unsure that your post qualifies as personal,message the mods and ask.
4. No insults toward OP: Any comment that could be interpreted as an attempt to insult, scold, lecture, victim blame, guilt trip or intimidate the OP are not allowed and will be removed. Repeat offenses or extreme cases will result in a ban.
5. Be mature: No off-topic comments. Civil debates only, name calling and anger are not appropriate here.
6. Do not reveal personal information: Do not post personal info, your own or other people's. Use a new account just for your post. Do not witch-hunt ever. Do not ping users who are not in the thread. These are all bannable offenses.
7. Posts must be personal and in "off my chest" style: If your post isn't personal in nature or in "offmychest style", it will be removed. If you want to talk about something, it either has to be directly related to you or directly impacting you - no soapboxing or hot takes/unpopular opinions.
8. No financial transactions: Do not offer money, give money, or request money. This is a bannable offense with zero tolerance.
9. Updates must be posted in a reasonable manner: To prevent karma farming and spam, update posts must be minimum 3 days apart. Users are limited to 2 updates per confession for a total of 3 parts. Only the OP may request updates be approved. We will not respond to requests from other users.
