Can you post your project here?

Self-promotion of any kind, including user-produced content like podcasts or YouTube channels, is explicitly banned and may lead to a ban. This rule is strictly enforced under the 'No Promotion or Surveys' rule. Posts must be relevant to true crime and encourage discussion.

Before you post: Promotion is not allowed, including user-produced content. Self-promotion is banable.

The rules, in their words

1. Be Respectful.: Be civil. Be respectful. Do not insult, attack, antagonize, call out, or troll others. (Example: "I disagree. Here's why I believe this other person is a better suspect" is a perfect response. However, "You're all idiots if you believe that person is guilty. Get a life." is not and could result in a ban.)
2. No Low Effort Posts & Comments. : Anyone who posts a link to an article or video must provide enough info about the case for those unfamiliar with the case basics to participate, either through a descriptive title or by commenting a case write up in the post. Posts not generating discussion may be removed. Low effort includes commenting one word or a short phrase that doesn't add to discussion (OMG, Wow, So evil, That's horrible, Heartbreaking, RIP, etc.). Dicussions are serious topics, so inappropriate humor will be removed.
3. Topics Must Fit. No Reposts.: Posts must be about true crime. This includes discussion about the legal process related to a case. Posts about missing and/or deceased persons that are not suspected to involve foul play *by law enforcement* are not allowed. When commenting, please stay on topic for the post. Posts about a topic recently discussed may be considered a **repost** and removed.
4. Reddit Content Policy. No Hate Allowed.: Hate is not tolerated. No dehumanizing speech, victim blaming, misogyny, misandry, discrimination, gender generalizations, homophobia, or bigotry. Review the [Reddit Content Policy](https://www.redditinc.com/policies/content-policy). Speech that diminishes or denies someone's humanity or uses inhumane language towards an individual - criminal or otherwise - is not allowed and strictly enforced. It's against the Reddit Content Policy to wish or approve of harm, violence or death on anyone.
5. No Promotion or Surveys.: Promotion is not allowed. This includes podcasts, YouTube videos & channels, TikToks, Facebook groups, merch, blogs, websites, surveys/polls, or other user-produced content creations. Self promotion is banable.
6. No Soapboxing. No Politics.: Do not post rants, loaded questions, or posts attempting to soapbox about a social or political issue.
7. New Account / Low Karma.: To deter ban evaders, spam and trolls, and also to encourage engagement in posts and comments, users must have accounts that are minimum 1 week old and at least 50 **comment** karma to post or comment.
