Can you post your project here?

Posts showing off thrift store hauls are welcome, provided they link directly to images of the items. Avoid department stores, online retailers, and any form of buying, selling, or promoting items/services for profit.

Before you post: Rule 8 explicitly forbids the promotion of items or services anyone stands to make a profit with.

The rules, in their words

1. Post titles/Information seeking/pricing/authentication: Title your post with some relevant info. ID/authentication/value/etc type questions in the post or title will have post removed and you could be banned
2. What type of haul is okay to post?: Anything that comes from a place where the prices are thrifty (e.g. garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, craigslist, street corners, etc.). "should I buy/keep" posts are not allowed. Those are different from "catch and release" Not allowed: **Department stores** (clearance items, sales, etc), **online stores** (eBay, Poshmark, Depop, etc), **hand-me-downs**, or anything similar.
3. Image posting guidelines: For showing off your hauls. Submissions must link directly to images you took of your haul. Hauls should be photographed well and the main focus of the image, showing as much of the original unaltered item as possible. Overtly sexual posts will be removed Video submissions are not allowed. No Memes, image macros, reposts, or other forms of low effort karma farming.
4. No faces: Faces need to covered/cropped/edited out (no lips, eyebrows up)
5. No buying/selling: Monetary transactions on this subreddit are strictly forbidden with no exceptions. Attempting to buy or sell may result in an appropriate response from the moderation team with no prior notification.
6. Text posting guidelines: Text posts should contain content in the main body. Please remain on topic and include visual content if posting about a recent find.
7. no eBay / marketplace / social media links: - eBay links are forbidden with zero exceptions. - Most links to other forms of marketplaces or social media are also not allowed.
8. No promotion of items / services / social media: - Promotion of items or services anyone stands to make profit with is forbidden. - This includes, but is not limited to: eBay, other marketplaces like Depop/Poshmark/Etsy, YouTube, social media, referrals, etc.
9. Do not make multiple posts in a short timespan: - If posting multiple pictures of your recent hauls please combine them into one image album and submit everything at once. - The length of time is variable and is up to the moderation team's discretion, please use your best judgment.
10. Toxic behavior will not be tolerated: - Toxic behavior will not be tolerated. This includes vulgar insults, sexual harassment, threatening violence, or anything else normally deemed socially unacceptable. - Acting out in this behavior will have you banned without warning, please show the community the same respect and courtesy you wish for yourself.
