Self-promotion or posts about personal projects are not mentioned in the rules. The subreddit focuses on discussing drama from other subreddits, requiring actual arguments and disagreements present in the linked content.

Before you post: The subreddit's rules strictly define acceptable content as discussions of drama from other subreddits, with no allowance for self-promotion or personal project showcases.

The rules, in their words

1. No trolling, hate speech, or using slurs: Obvious troll accounts will be banned on sight. Users behaving as trolls may be warned or banned. Our definitions of slurs and hate speech are pretty standard, but note that ironic usage of slurs is not okay. eg. "OP is a faggot" and "I blew a tranny today".
2. Avoid insults, flamewars, or flamebait: We should try not create drama with each other, or recreate the linked fights. Your comments may be removed if you insult other users on SRD, participate in flamewars, or say inflammatory things to get a reaction. 3. No /u/ summoning user from linked thread: Do not use reddit's username mention feature to ping someone from the drama to bait them into getting into a fight
4. Do not post drama you are involved in.: The submitter of thread may not be directly involved in the drama. Throwaway comments may be acceptable but If you're in the argument, or instigated the argument, you can't submit it. 5. SRD is not a call-out subreddit. Don't post links just to point out bad behavior: While often many of the posts you will see here feature bad behavior, bigotry/shittiness/abuse are not SRD material by themselves. There needs to be actual verbal disagreement and fighting in the comments. If your post is more about pointing out bad behavior than it is drama, it will be removed.
6. Avoid bias in your title or in your write-up. Try to stay neutral.: No bias in the writeup, no bias in the title, and editorialisation of linked quotes should be kept to a minimum. Think like newspaper articles, which avoid painting any side as being in the wrong. 7. Don't make us hunt for the drama: When submitting drama do not make us hunt for the drama. We need to immediately be able to see the fighting. Use the "?context" url trick to link to specific chains of comments. 8. Don't submit off-site drama or posts that aren't drama at all.: Posts deeemed to not have enough drama or to not be SRD material will be removed. Make sure there's actual arguing and that it goes on for more than just a couple comments. If you want to submit drama that isn't really on reddit, try /r/internetdrama.
9. Don't post or vote in linked threads: We're here to enjoy the drama, not to be part of it. Involving yourself in linked drama may be considered brigading and get your account suspended by the admins of reddit
