Can you post your project here?

Posts showcasing your own stupid food creations made for karma are explicitly forbidden. The subreddit focuses on ridiculing food served in restaurants, grocery stores, or ridiculous recipes, not personal projects.

Before you post: Self-made food for karma-whoring is not allowed.

The rules, in their words

  1. Reposts: Seen something which has already been posted here? Let us know. *Please provide links for duplicates in the comments if you can,* it's really helpful. Recent or frequent reposts may be removed, but we are relaxed about reposting of items which appeared on the sub some time ago. Items which have gained lots of karma/comments are less likely to be removed. Usually we will remove whichever is the youngest or has the least karma and/or participation.
  2. Uncivil Behavior : *Make fun of the food, not the culture* Engaging in hateful or discriminatory language or behavior targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or personal identity is strictly prohibited. We expect friendly banter and a brisk trade in insults, but it must remain good-natured at all times. Bad-tempered and mean-spirited threads may be locked, deleted, or whatever else is required. *Trolls will be banned on sight without appeal.* Play nicely, remember the human.
  3. Casual slurs and abuse: Do not indulge in the normalization of casual slurs and abuse no matter how trivial it may seem. Comments such as *"White people food"*, *"Typical for a woman"*, and *"Gay"* will be removed, as well as entire toxic comment chains when necessary.
  4. r/StupidFood Content: This is a place to showcase truly ridiculous foods you might find at grocery stores, restaurants, or a hilarious stupid recipe. However, please do not use this space to rant about your grandma's hated chili dish. Stupid food that you made in your kitchen just for the sake of karma-whoring is not allowed and will be removed. Other things that are forbidden are: -Regular food that belongs on r/foodporn -Food that seems “unusual” from a different culture -Non-related food posts -Advertisements
  5. Ragebait: *Ragebait is NOT Allowed* Ragebait is a major strain in our community and is not allowed here. Ragebait consists of people purposefully making really terrible food just to garner attention for likes and attention.
  6. Politics: We don't give a shit what side of the political spectrum you are on. r/StupidFood is a place about food and not a place to go on political rants. Please don't turn this subreddit into a twitter thread and just keep politics to yourself.
  7. Spam: Don't post random shit that's not even food related to the sub. It's not funny and our subs despise it. So kindly fuck off. Try to stay more-or-less on-topic , try to be relevant, or at least be interesting. If you are off-topic but funny, thought-provoking, inspiring, or whatever then all well and good. But if submissions are irrelevant and - heaven forbid! - *boring* then we have a problem. Rank spammers get banned without warning or explanation.
  8. A.I. Content: A.I. Content is not allowed in this subreddit as it kind of defeats the whole purpose of stupid food. Plus that's kind of cheap anyway.
  9. Titles: Meaningful titles : Make your post titles concise, to the point, and uncluttered, with no URLs, appeals, links to social medias, etc., and few emojis and special characters. Lazy titles : Posts with titles which are too short will be removed but you are encouraged to re-submit with a longer title.
  10. Mindless eating exercises: Anything featuring idiotic, dangerous, and pointless eating 'challenges', such as the [Tide Pod Challenge](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consumption_of_Tide_Pods#Internet_meme), are pretty much always disliked, downvoted, and otherwise ignored. The mods don't like them, the subscribers don't like them, and now the sub doesn't like them. Begone.
