Promotions are generally banned, but specific types of promotions are allowed in a monthly Creator Showcase thread. Posts promoting products or platforms for sale or user enrollment are considered spam. Users who create something can share it in the monthly Creator Showcase thread.

Before you post: Self-promotion is allowed only in the monthly Creator Showcase thread. Posts promoting products for sale or user enrollment are not permitted.

The rules, in their words

1. Civility: Remember that other users here are human too, and one should assume good faith in them. Personal attacks, mudslinging, and other uncivil comments are not welcome.
2. No Promotions: Posts promoting Products, Ideas, or Platforms posted for the purpose of selling or enrolling new users is not permitted. Certain promotions (with outlined restrictions) can be posted inside of the pinned thread in the Highlights section of the subreddit.
3. Personal Information: Disclosing personal information is not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to phone numbers or email addresses. If you need to provide a piece of private information to another user, do it by private message.
4. No Spam: Spam and unrelated content are not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to referral links, blog spam, pyramid schemes, unpaid jobs, and other forms of spam.
5. Bots: Bots not providing utility to the subreddit and/or its users are not permitted. What constitutes utility is up to moderator discretion. The moderators will ban unapproved bots and remove their comments.
