Self-promotion and advertising are strictly prohibited. Posts must not be promotional and should not link to external platforms. Consult the moderators for any potential promotional offers.

Before you post: Rule 8 explicitly states 'No advertising of any kind. No YouTube/Twitter/blog spam.' and '/r/Sneakers doesn’t exist as a promotion tool in any way.'

The rules, in their words

1. Buying/Selling/Trading: Buying/selling/trading (or even asking about it) is **STRICTLY PROHIBITED**. There are other subreddits for that.
2. Fake/Replica shoes: NO FAKES. No asking about fakes, no posting fakes. Any comment or post that features or advocates for fake/replica shoes of any kind will be removed and the poster will be banned.
3. Bots, ATC services, backdoor links, etc.: No posts about bots, backdoor links, pre-order/add to cart services, jigs, etc. You will be banned without warning. What is and isn’t considered a backdoor link is at the discretion of the mods.
4. Reddiquette violation: Practice Reddiquette, meaning don't be overly hostile/antagonistic to other users. Repeatedly inimical users will be banned.
5. Racism/Sexism/Bigotry: Keep discussion related to sneakers. Racist/sexist/bigoted comments will be removed and the poster banned at the mod's discretion.
6. Low-effort post/Meme/Not related to sneakers: Memes and low-effort posts will be removed at the mods’ discretion. We do not allow legit checks or "What shoes should I get" posts. General sneaker recommendation posts such as comfortable standing shoes/general questions are still allowed. If a picture doesn't feature sneakers as the main focal point, it may be removed. We don't allow Slides, Flip-flops, Crocs, or non sneakers in the sub. Screenshots of pickups outside of new release threads will result in a ban.
7. Impersonation: Don't pretend to be someone else. Give credit if it's not your picture.
8. Advertising/Self-Promotion: **No advertising of any kind. No YouTube/Twitter/blog spam.** /r/Sneakers doesn’t exist as a promotion tool in any way. Consult with the mods about promotional offers. We do not allow other sub cross promotions.
9. Personal Information: No posting personal information of any kind. This includes linking to social media accounts that aren't yours.
10. Customer Service Complaints: Posts detailing customer service issues where the online company has defrauded you are allowed. The person making the post must provide adequate proof of the story they post (ie multiple pictures of shoes purchased, screenshots of conversations you have had with reps from the company etc). In cases that seem suspect or proof is not provided we will remove the post and sticky our reasoning. The thread can be unlocked by adding more proof.
