Posts are intended to be original, concise thoughts meant to be shared in the title. Explanations are for comments only. Ensure your post meets the requirements for its assigned flair, and be mindful of the one-post-per-72-hours limit.

Before you post: Self-promotion or sharing personal projects is not explicitly mentioned but is highly likely to be considered spam (Rule 7) or fall outside the scope of 'showerthoughts' (Rule 2, clarified by the description 'Very few posts will be showerthoughts').

The rules, in their words

1. All content must be original.: Everything offered in /r/Showerthoughts must be written by its poster. AI-generated content, copied-and-pasted content, and other such unoriginal content is strictly forbidden. 2. 3. Your entire thought must be in the post's title.: Posts in /r/Showerthoughts must stand on their own. Explanations, elaboration, examples, or clarifications should only be offered as comments.

7. 8. Remain civil at all times.: Bigotry, hate-speech, harassment, and personal attacks will result in immediate and permanent bans.
