Post with careYou can post, but there are rules to clear first.

Can you post your project here?

Self-promotion of commercial sites, blogs, or videos is limited. You must participate in the community and contact moderators before posting commercial content. Be mindful of the maximum of 2-3 posts per day.

Before you post: Contact moderators before posting and participate in the community first. Limit posts to 2-3 per day.

The rules, in their words

  1. No spam.: Spam, bots, trolls, & blatant karma-seeking accounts are not welcome and will be banned. Limited self-promotion of commercial sites, blogs, or video channels may be allowed, but please participate in the community, and contact the moderators before posting. Keep individual posts to 2-3 maximum a day. If you would like to share more pictures, please create an image album and share the link in a single post instead.
  2. No vote solicitation.: e.g. "/r/aww didn't like my bunny", "Can I get some love..", "I heard that...", "Should I post more?", etc. Your rabbit will gain karma based on their merit by being a cute bunny.
  3. No help or diagnosis requests for rabbits that require a hands-on medical exam to evaluate.: While there are some issues that can be monitored at home if necessary, users should not be posting online for... 1. clearly urgent health issues that need to be diagnosed and treated after a hands-on exam 2. issues that cannot be accurately evaluated with an online picture or description (e.g. weight, bald spots, wounds, lumps) 3. self-medication and dosing advice Call your veterinarian instead of posting on the subreddit.
  4. No posts requesting help with wildlife rehabilitation.: This is a subreddit focused on domestic pet rabbits, and while pictures of wild rabbits in their natural habitat are still welcome, your local wildlife department, rehabilitator, and veterinary hospital are the best resources for appropriate care for orphaned or injured wildlife. Inexperienced care to wild animals can easily be fatal, and most subscribers to r/rabbits are unqualified to offer appropriate advice for your region.
  5. No obvious or regular defensive willful negligence or misinformation welcome.: Any obvious posts of sub-standard pet rabbit welfare (including but not limited to small cages, wire flooring, untreated medical issues, self-medicating, dangerous heights, problematic diets) will be removed. Comments with inaccurate or bad advice may be removed or authors banned with or without warning. If there is regular evidence of poor care after receiving repeated feedback from the community, a user may have their posts removed or banned based on moderator discretion.
  6. No image posts about bathing rabbits or handling rabbits on their backs.: There may be specific instances when [bathing](http://bunny.tips/Bath) and [trancing](http://bunny.tips/Trancing) may be appropriate for medical care, but please keep these images off the subreddit. Photos of rabbits manually placed on their backs may be removed based on moderator discretion even if the rabbit is not fully tranced.
  7. No image posts of rabbits with other predatory animals.: *Including but not limited to dogs, cats, ferrets, and chickens. * While [many species of animals can co-exist in the same pet household](https://bunny.tips/Relationships), it is important to be aware that serious injuries can quickly happen even under supervision. Please share rabbit-only pictures in the subreddit without other animals in the frame.
  8. No posts advertising breeders, intentional litters, or asking for breeding assistance.: Many rabbitors feel strongly about [spaying & neutering](http://bunny.tips/Spay) rabbits as it can be important to their health. r/rabbits is a pet rabbit subreddit that discourages breeding and encourages rescue. Pictures of intentional baby litters are not welcome. Do not advertise specific rabbitries in comments or reddit usernames.
  9. No references to rabbits as food.: /r/rabbits is a pet rabbit subreddit. Please be considerate. **No posts, mentions, or discussions about rabbit dispatch, processing, or consumption are allowed.** Food jokes about rabbits will generally be removed, and suspected trolls will be immediately banned.
  10. Be polite with constructive criticism.: There is no tolerance for rudeness, personal attacks, or any general bad or poor behavior. You may have strong opinions, but keep them constructive and educational. Do not threaten, harass, or bully other users, including the moderators through modmail. Site-wide harassment accounts will be banned. Users may be banned with or without warning.
  11. Post sources of non-original content. No AI generated content.: Leave a comment with credit or best guess at a source if a post is not personal original content. AI generated content will be removed. Users that publicly claim images that are clearly not their own will be banned.
  12. No reposts within 7 days or without explicit credit.: Reposts of the same material within 7 days will be removed. Reposts of other users' content, especially with no credit given, may result in a ban.
  13. No direct requests for personal fundraising.: Non-profit rescue fundraising may be allowed with proof. Please do not use our community for your personal fundraising and look for [other resources](https://wabbitwiki.com/wiki/Choosing_a_rabbit_veterinarian#Financial_assistance) instead.
  14. Appropriately title and mark content as NSFW.: While posts discussing animal cruelty, animal abuse, or graphic health and care problems can be acceptable as long as they don't target a specific business or individual account or break another rule, please appropriately warn users of the content by marking it as an NSFW post and in the title. Not everyone is comfortable with viewing upsetting graphic content. While we are sorry to hear of the loss, pictures of deceased rabbits (or similar ambiguous photos) will be removed.
  15. Be a good community member and on-topic.: Don't instigate flame wars or bring topics and debates that are not directly related to pet rabbit care into the subreddit (e.g. politics, veganism, alternative medicine). Don't ask for advice on human health or mental issues. Identify plants and bugs before asking questions about rabbit safety. We are here to focus about pet rabbits and their welfare and anything else is out of scope for the subreddit and may be removed with or without warning.
