Can you post your project here?

This subreddit has a strict no-advertising, soliciting, or promoting rule. Self-promotional accounts are banned, and posts related to personal YouTube channels, podcasts, websites, or social media are not allowed. This applies to any form of self-promotion.

Before you post: Rule 3 explicitly states 'No Advertising, Soliciting or Promoting' and that 'If you are deemed to be a spam/advertising/self-promotional account, you will be immediately permabanned.' This covers personal channels, websites, and social media.

The rules, in their words

1. All submissions must follow the content policy rules set by Reddit.com: https://www.redditinc.com/policies/content-policy The rules can be found using the link above.
2. Insults, Bullying, Harassment, Threats, and Trolling: r/Paranormal is aimed at people who are open-minded about the existence of the paranormal. We do not tolerate bullying, harassment, threats, or trolling by any user no matter what side they’re on. This includes: - Insults or ridicule - Accusations of lying or mental illness - Nonsensical responses - Unnecessarily aggressive or sarcastic responses - Blanket claims that the paranormal doesn’t exist - Bashing the sub Users may be banned at moderator discretion.
3. No Advertising, Soliciting or Promoting: No promotions, solicitations, or ads. * No personal youtube channels * No personal podcasts * No personal websites * No personal social media * No requesting content from the community for any reason Report violations. If you are deemed to be a spam/advertising/self-promotional account, you will be immediately permabanned.
4. No Emergency/Life-or-Death Posts: This sub does not make any claim about being able to solve problems, and is incapable of doing so. Advice on here should be considered skeptically, and is NEVER a replacement or dissuasion from seeking trained medical and mental health professionals when appropriate.
5. No content from/about minors: We have a duty to protect the community, and part of this is screening against content that could be used by predators. This does not include posts which contain people who are no longer minors (children that are now grown up).
6. All submissions must be made in ENGLISH: We require all posts to be submited in English - OR - if submitted in another language, they MUST contain an English translation. Users who do not follow this rule will be subject to ban.
7. Label content correctly: Ensure people have predictable experiences on Reddit by properly labeling content and communities, particularly content that is graphic, sexually-explicit, or offensive. 8. Request Threads: Users must follow strict guidelines when submitting requests from the r/Paranormal community to participate in external capacities. For more information, see [Rule 10: Request Threads](https://www.reddit.com/r/Paranormal/wiki/index#wiki_rule_10.3A_request_threads).
9. Quality Requirements: Posts may be removed for the following reasons: - Photos or videos where the subject is not readily apparent or not overtly paranormal in nature. - A description in which an object or situation “feels creepy” or is otherwise vague. No haunted dolls! - Common questions answered in our FAQ. - The OP doesn’t answer questions. - The OP does not appear to have made a reasonable attempt to debunk the phenomenon. - Pareidolia posts which rely entirely on subjective interpretation of abstract shapes.
10. No body marks/scratches posts: They inevitably result in the user being accused of some degree of self harm. If your body marks are particularly unusual, consider posting them to r/BodyMarkPhenomenon.
11. No Possession Posts UNLESS…: Negative entity possession is a controversial phenomenon. The Catholic Church has strict requirements for what constitutes possession, including: - Levitation - Xenoglossia (speaking unknown languages) - Inhuman strength - Clairsentience (anomalous knowledge) Unless your personal account includes a video demonstrating more than one of these things, then the post will be removed. Academic discussion posts on the topic are allowed.
12. No AI content: Posts which appear to be written by or with the assistance of AI will be removed. If we have suspicions, we may examine your post history to compare writing style as well as look for signs of suspicious account behavior.
13. This subreddit is for open-minded discussion of the paranormal: This subreddit aims to foster open and thoughtful discussion of paranormal phenomena. Blanket denial reflects a misunderstanding of the scientific method, where extraordinary ideas often precede progress. Maintaining a safe environment is crucial, as attacks and ridicule can be deeply discouraging for those with genuine experiences. We will not tolerate unproductive skepticism, ridicule, or blanket denial on the subreddit. Users are encouraged to engage respectfully, even if skeptically.
