Advertising for real-life items or money is banned. Only approved advertisers can post, and only if they are active contributors. Any self-promotion that is not advertising may be removed if it's low-effort or a common topic. Your first post will be held for moderator approval.

Before you post: Advertising is banned unless approved by moderators. Active contributors can post up to 2 videos per week. Posts must be relevant to No Man's Sky game. First-time posters have their posts held for moderator approval.

The rules, in their words

1. Spoilers: *Please!* Don't spoil the game for new players or players of new releases. - Content relating to story aspects of No Man's Sky must be contained within Spoiler Tags. - Spoilers in titles can not be edited or marked as spoilers after they are posted. These will be removed. - Any pre release information not provided by Hello Games is not allowed. e.g. information found by data mining or unofficial leaks. - *Speculation* & discussion about future releases is allowed.
2. Not about No Man's Sky: *Anything* not related to No Man's Sky the game will be removed. - Avoid theological, social, political, or otherwise unrelated debates, which will be removed. - "In real life" pics and memes are allowed as long as they are directly relevant to NMS.
3. User's 1st post to NMSTG: The first post to the sub from every op is removed from view and sent to the moderators for approval. - This is a spam prevention measure we take to prevent bots from posting to the sub. It has nothing to do with the content of the post. - Please be patient about your post being approved since moderators aren't always available.
4. Posting Standards & Limits: - Recent repost, low-effort/low-quality post, bot posts, karma farming, etc. will be removed. - Common topics that have been vigorously discussed ad nauseum will be removed. - Meme templates used ad nauseum may be removed. - AI generated art & text will be removed. **Posting Limits** - You can make 2 post / hour - You can post 2 videos / week - Approved advertisers can make 2 post / week *Any post removed for being over the limit may be reposted at a later time.*
5. Advertising: *Advertising for real life items or $ is not allowed* - If you are an active contributor to this community then posting videos (2/week) is acceptable - Posting by in game groups, game related sites and other related social media is available by *application only* - Must contact the moderators for an application and be approved before advertising - Must use the flair specified with your approval - Posting is limited to 2 post/week - Group members violating sub rules can void privileges
6. Request & offers of in game items or common questions: The following should be placed in the scheduled [mega-thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/wiki/mega-threads/). - Request for or offers of *any* in game items. - Common questions such as: "Should I buy this game" or "When does this game go on sale" - You may be directed to repost your post on this thread by the moderators.
7. Respect other members of the community: - Content that is rude, vulgar, or offensive (this includes your user ID) will be removed.
