Self-promotion posts are banned, including frequent posts of your own work, selling items, or promoting your brand or business. This rule also covers 'show-and-tell' posts which are not allowed except for official announcements or paint scheme designers announcing their work will be used by a team.

The rules, in their words

1. Keep your discussion civil: Regardless of the intent behind your usage, everyone, no matter their age, gender, sexual preferences, race, profession, or affiliation deserves to feel welcome in this subreddit. Any language that is racist, sexist, inflammatory, homophobic, wishing harm upon, or otherwise threatening, rude, toxic, demeaning toward any user, moderator, driver, team, crew member or commentator will not be tolerated. Users are expected to keep their discussion civil at all times within posts and comments.
2. Do not repost content: Do not post a link or discussion if that topic has already been posted. Any updates to a current news story or discussion should be posted in the original thread if the update comes on the same day of the original post.
3. No multiple similar posts: If you are posting original content, such as pictures from a NASCAR-related trip, or asking questions, keep them contained into one thread. If you need to post multiple pictures, upload them into an album and link the whole album of pictures as your post.
4. Use the stickied discussion threads: General discussion of activities within a live event should be made within the stickied Race/Discussion thread when available. For race attendance and 101 questions, please use the stickied "NASCAR 101 and Track Attendance" thread. Examples of General Discussion that will be pointed toward the race thread: “kyle sucks because he wrecked my driver”, “I like this race”, or weather forecasts.
5. Title posts accurately: All post titles should accurately reflect the contents of the link or post without any needed context. Any posts that are in any way misleading, editorialized, or formatted to be perceived as click-bait are not allowed.
6. Always post to the source: Do not post a screenshot of a website, tweet, article, artwork, etc. Always create posts that link to the original source as the submission, not a screenshot. Videos originally hosted on TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media should also be directly linked and should not be rehosted.
7. No Low-Effort/Off-Topic Posts: New Posts which provide a low-quality photo or otherwise do not have much context or significance to its content are not allowed to include photos of televisions and selfies. AI-generated content is considered low-effort. Exception provided for linking to AI content made within the NASCAR industry. Posts not related to NASCAR will be removed. Examples: Max wins F1 race, NASCARs are loud!, Here is my prediction for the championship.
8. No memes or shitposts: No posts containing memes or general shitposting are allowed outside of the stickied Meme Tuesday thread For every day meme posting, please see r/NASCARmemes
9. Do not manipulate votes: Discussion of upvotes and downvotes is against the Reddiquette and is considered vote manipulation. Commenting on the voting trends you're planning on participating in ("I'm upvoting every comment") or the trends of voting that have occurred ("why is everyone being downvoted?") is not allowed.
10. No self-promotion, subreddit promotion, or spam: Self-promotion in r/NASCAR is defined as making frequent posts or comments to content that is your own work, such as (but not limited to) your own Social Media, eBay store, trying to sell T-shirts or using various other channels to promote your own brand, business or career, regardless of monetization. (Note to racers: This includes seeking to attract votes, sponsorship, etc.)
11. No show-and-tell posts: Show-and-tell style submissions may not be posted. This includes, but is not limited to, diecasts (custom and official), model kit builds, sheet metal, "found in the wild" photos, fantasy paint schemes, or any other memorabilia. This does not include paint schemes, diecast, or other newsworthy merchandise announcements made from an official source, nor does it include paint scheme designers announcing that their paint scheme will be used by a team.
