Can you post your project here?

Self-promotion is allowed but strictly limited to a dedicated weekly thread posted on Saturdays. Any other form of self-promotion or posting about your own band outside of this thread will be removed.

Before you post: Self-promotion, including posts about your band, must be confined to the dedicated Saturday thread titled 'PROMOTE THREAD'.

The rules, in their words

1. No Slurs: Homophobic, racist and any bigoted slurs/comments will not be tolerated.
2. Retired/Respited band: Please Refrain from posting music from the bands listed on our [Respite and Retirement Center Lists](https://www.reddit.com/r/Metal/wiki/respiteandretirement), however they are not banned from being discussed in our daily threads. This is not because we dislike or discourage listening to them, but in order to promote diversity and discovery of smaller artists. All side projects and solo projects from blacklist artists will also be removed.
3. Recommendation Requests in REC CENTER: Please save all recommendation requests for our weekly [REC CENTER](https://www.reddit.com/r/Metal/search?q=REC+CENTER&sort=new&restrict_sr=on&t=all)
4. Discussion Topics & Questions in Daily Threads: Please save all discussion topics or questions for our [DAILY DISCUSSION THREADS.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Metal/search/?q=Shreddit%27s+Daily+Discussion+&sort=new&restrict_sr=on&t=all) Any text post will be automatically removed.
5. Underground Friday: Any artist that has over 10k Last.fm listeners will be removed on Fridays.
6. No Self Promotion (Except in dedicated Saturday thread): Please save all promotion of your band or someone you know for our [PROMOTE THREAD](https://www.reddit.com/r/Metal/search?q=%5BPROMOTE%5D+Tell+Us+About+Your+Band%21&sort=new&restrict_sr=on) which goes live every Saturday
7. No Full Releases: Please refrain from posting full albums, demos, EPs, splits and any other full releases. Post an individual track instead.
8. No Image Posts: No images posts.
9. No Metalcore/Deathcore/Nu Metal/Alt Metal or any Unrelated Genres: Please post songs matching these subgenres in their own respective communities. If you are uncertain, verify that it has a **band** page on [Metal Archives](https://www.metal-archives.com/) and does not fall under any of the previously listed genres. This is not because we dislike them or discourage listening to them, but because they fall outside of the scope of this subreddit.
10. No Clickbait: This is primarily a subreddit for sharing metal music and news, so clickbait videos, memes, amateur covers and playthroughs, YouTuber spam (BLANK goes METAAAAL, Will It Djent?, etc.) are strictly prohibited and will be removed
11. No Reposting Bands: Refrain from posting songs from bands that have already been posted very recently, this includes **any** songs and not just the specific tracks that were posted. Search the subreddit and see if they have not been posted within the last 7 days.
