Can you post your project here?

Posts directly linking to products for sale are banned. However, you can share your own YouTube videos or links to your site if they are related to Japanese food. Such links should be in comments if requested, and anything appearing too much like an advertisement may be removed.

The rules, in their words

1. No hateful or discriminatory speech: Hateful or discriminatory speech will not be tolerated. This will result in a ban. Being a jerk is not against the rules (unless extreme and disruptive), exercise downvotes to manage jerks rather than reporting them. Having a history of posting in JapanCircleJerk + being a troll will result in a ban.
2. Post only Japanese food: Post only Japanese food. Japanese influenced western foods (a teriyaki burger, Japanese curry etc.) are considered Japanese food here. Exceptions to this rule may be made for legitimate cultural phenomenon. Baked goods are difficult... They should be easily recognized as Japanese. Not everything made in Japan is Japanese food. Videos and podcasts should be identifiable as Japanese food by scrubbing through quickly. We get it wrong sometimes, speak up if you disagree with a post removal.
3. Do not post blurry, low resolution, poorly lit photographs, partially eaten food: Strive to post quality content. Blurry, low resolution, poorly lit photographs or food that has been eaten already will be removed.
4. Do not post commercial promotional images: Do not post commercial promotional images, as it feels like astroturfing. Post photos of real food. A photograph of a menu in a restaurant is fine, an advertisement reposted is not. This is generally to prevent advertisements from chain restaurants being posted, or spambots posting stock images. It is acceptable to post your youtube videos or links to your site if it is related to Japanese Food
5. Japanese food should be the focus of the content: Japanese food should be the focus of the content. Mukbang, ASMR and videos with sexual or otherwise inappropriate content are not acceptable, as the Japanese food tends to be secondary or tertiary to the other stuff going on in the video.
6. Do not create a post linking directly to products for sale as a post.: Do not create a post linking directly to products for sale. Links to products can be included in in the comments, especially when replying to a request from someone. Anything that feels too much like an advertisement can be removed at the mods discretion.
7. No memes: Memes don't add anything to the conversation. Strive to have real photos and conversations about Japanese food.
8. No T-shirt posts: 99% of the T-shirt designs posted are from spam-bots sharing malicious links. Let's just avoid them entirely.
9. Recipes need to have a photo: Do not post text-only recipes, they should always include a photo or video.
10. Posts should be in English or Japanese, or have subtitles or translations in one of those languages.
11. No AI generated images: Keep it real food
12. Share Information Thoughtfully: We value meaningful discussions and accurate information in this community. When sharing content, please ensure it is truthful and well-sourced. Disinformation, intentional or not, can mislead others and harm the quality of our conversations. If you're unsure about a claim, consider marking it as opinion or speculation and provide context when possible.
