Self-promotion is allowed but strictly regulated by a 90/10 rule, meaning 90% of your activity must not be self-promotional. Posts should feature unique, beautifully designed, or single-purpose websites, not aggregators, stores, or services requiring downloads or personal information.

The rules, in their words

1. No Aggregations or Collections: Websites that are aggregates for other content are not allowed.
2. Not Unique: The submission is not unique enough. Not unique submissions could be websites everyone on the internet already knows about, websites that do very similar things to previous submissions, websites that are very basic (e.g., a website with a timer or a website to take notes), or submissions that have been recently posted on this subreddit.
3. No Webgames: webgames are not allowed.
4. No Articles, Videos or Images: Static images, gifs or other videos are not allowed. Blogposts or other articles are also not allowed.
5. No Stores or Demos: We do not allow any sites that are online stores or sites that serve only to sell a specific product. Free demos when the full version will be paid are also not allowed.
6. No sites that require personal information: Websites that require an email address, name, or any other personal information to fully experience the website are not allowed. This includes Facebook, Google+, or any other account. This rule also extends to websites that require a webcam in order to function.
7. No Extensions or Downloads: Extensions, software, or other content which requires being downloaded before being used are not allowed.
8. Hug of Death (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻: Website is slow or unresponsive. Reddit has hugged it to death and the site needs a timeout.
9. No Politics: No political posts please!
10. No AI-Generated Content: Posts based on content generated by Chat-GPT, other large language models, or any AI-based tools are not allowed.
11. No accounts designed for self-promotion: This sub follows the 90/10 rule for self-promotion. If almost all your activity on Reddit is advertising something you made, you will not be allowed to post here. 90% of your participation on Reddit should have nothing to do with a site you own or operate.
12. No Business Tools: Posts featuring tools designed for launching products, job boards, SEO optimization, or any other tool aimed at businesses are not allowed.
