Rule 3 strictly prohibits advertising, product sales, and shameless self-advertising. This means posts directly promoting a side project or product are not allowed.

The rules, in their words

1. No harassment, personal attacks, or insults.: Harassment, personal attacks, or insults will be removed. Users frequently violating this rule will be banned.
2. No stolen content or bot posts : Content that is reposted without credit, or obvious bot posts will be removed and the poster will be banned.
3. No Advertising: No product sales, links to personal websites, or shameless self-advertising is allowed. Recommendation of products as part of a broader discussion is allowed and can be linked. Links to surveys or other non-sales material is allowed.
