Self-promotion is restricted and may be limited to a twice-weekly allowance. Posts must accurately title their content and focus on High Strangeness subjects. Low effort and spam are not allowed.

The rules, in their words

1. Respect each other and keep discussion civil.: In addition to enforcing Reddit's ToS, abusive, racist, trolling or bigoted comments and content will be removed and may result in a ban. Be civil during debate. Avoid ad hominem and debunk the claim, not the character of those making the claim.
2. Posts and comments must focus on High Strangeness related subjects.: Content must clearly relate to subjects listed in the sidebar. Posts and comments unrelated to High Strangeness, such as: sociopolitical conspiracies, partisan issues, current events and mundane natural phenomena are not relevant to the sub and may result in moderator action.
3. Titles must accurately and informatively explain the content of the submission.: Posts involving vague, clickbait, ALL CAPS, sensationalized and/or misleading titles will be removed at moderator discretion. Sightings report posts of any kind must include date, time and approximate location.
4. Low effort, spam and fake content is subject to removal. Self promotion may be restricted.: Hoaxes, memes, images, spam and general low effort content may be removed at moderator discretion. Posting for personal gain may be restricted to a twice weekly limit.
