Can you post your project here?

Self-promotion, advertising, and soliciting on the subreddit are strictly banned. This includes links to personal sites, blogs, or new ventures. Educational material is only allowed if the creator is on the subreddit's whitelist and active in the community.

Before you post: Self-promotion, advertising your own links or ventures, and selling items are strictly prohibited and will result in a permanent ban. Exceptions are made for educational material from whitelisted, active community members.

The rules, in their words

1. HOW TO SUBMIT A POST IN R/GUITAR: A post must include a flair tag and a title that is descriptive and at least 15 characters long. Flair tags should be relevant to the type of post you're making - i.e. a post containing pictures of your guitar would fall under "Gear" and therefore receive that flair tag. If your post doesn't have text in the body section, it will be removed. Please be descriptive with the body of your post.
2. POSITIVE KARMA ONLY - NO NEW ACCOUNTS: **YOUR ACCOUNT MUST BE AT LEAST 3 DAYS OLD AND NOT HAVE NEGATIVE COMMENT KARMA in order to submit a post or comment.** This is a measure to combat trolling, ban evasion, and spam. Please do NOT contact the mods about bypassing this. If you have negative karma, go to another sub and say something witty until you're out of the red. **WE DO NOT REVISIT BANS. ONCE YOU ARE BANNED, YOU ARE BANNED FOR LIFE.**
3. POSTS WITH NO TITLE OR CONTENT WILL BE REMOVED: ANY POSTS THAT CONTAIN JUST A LINK WITH NO DESCRIPTION, LOW EFFORT POSTS, OR INCOMPLETE POSTING WILL BE REMOVED AUTOMATICALLY. Please add a detailed description with your link.
4. SPAM, SELF-PROMOTION, ADVERTISING BY PROXY, SOLICITING SOCIAL MEDIA VIEWS, ETC. ARE NOT ALLOWED.: SPAM - SELF-PROMOTION - PROMOTION - ADVERTISING BY PROXY - SEEKING VIEWS - ARE NOT ALLOWED. THIS MEANS NO ADVERTISING YOUR NEW SUB, APPS, LINKS TO SOCIAL MEDIA, BLOGS, OR OTHER PERSONAL SITES, AND NO NEW ALBUM POSTS. This includes the comment area of youtube videos as well as anything that's embedded into the video itself, no subscription requests, likes, or links to any of the aforementioned. DO NOT TRY TO SELL YOUR GUITAR HERE. YOU WILL BE BANNED PERMANENTLY FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE.
5. DISCOURTESY - ANY DISCOURTESY TOWARD OTHERS WILL RESULT WITH A PERMANENT BAN: R/Guitar is a place for shame-free guitar escapism. Any discourtesy, trolling, name calling, brigading, or other behavior meant to diminish another member's experience here will be met with a swift ban. This includes behavior in mod mail. There was a time when you had questions about the world of guitar. Remember that part of your life and how hard it was to advance. Be nice, Be kind, Be helpful. THIS IS NOT A SUB FOR EXPERTS - YOU WILL SEE POSTS YOU DON'T LIKE. Deal with it or go elsewhere.
6. MEMES/JOKE/TROLL POSTS, AND ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT ALLOWED:: Memes, jokes/skits, rage comics, sub-related rant posts, spam, advertising of goods or services, shill advertising, links to outside retailers, gear for sale posts, surveys, or feedback. Comment manipulation (edits made to conceal behavior) is strictly prohibited. **Market research, surveys (ANY), and data mining are strictly prohibited.** Sub/mod complaint posts will be met with ban. No asking for likes or subscriptions. Abuse in modmail will result in permanent ban.
7. GEAR APPRAISALS, SELLING, OR DONATION SEEKING ARE NOT ALLOWED IN R/GUITAR: Any type of soliciting donations or trying to sell your guitar gear here will be met with a ban. This is not a place for you to obtain gear or money from the sale of gear. We also do not allow posting items you seek to donate (sorry - ppl have managed to ruin this through various means). DO NOT ASK FOR GEAR APPRAISALS. This isn't a pawn shop, and we are not here to provide you with the value of your guitar or gear.
8. GCJ Related: ANYTHING having to do with r/guitarcirclejerk is prohibited and will result in an immediate and permanent ban. Any attempt to brigade this sub to cause disruption is prohibited. Trolling/memes/brigading in any form will be met with a permanent ban.

We have established a whitelist to allow known and established content creators who are active community members, to share EDUCATIONAL material. This is not meant for users trying to build a following or promote their material/new ventures.
