Self-promotion and spam are strictly banned. Posts must be eye-witness accounts of glitches that cannot be explained by ordinary means. Only one glitch story per post is allowed, and fictional or AI-generated content is forbidden. Posts must be detailed and logical, and technological glitches are not permitted.

The rules, in their words

1. Intoxication: Drunk/drugged/Intoxicated situations are caused by the intake of said product. Said products cause enough impairments to be unable to distinguish between, reality or glitch
2. Childhood story: No Childhood Stories. Too many errors trying to remember things that happened as a child and no way to verify. We remove stories where the eye-witness of the event was under the age of 16 at the time of the incident.
3. Mandela Effect: Mandela Effect has it's own Sub. They should be posted there: r/MandelaEffect/ (see Berenst**n Bears)
4. Troll: In Internet slang, a troll (/troʊl, trɒl/) is a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet to distract and sow discord by posting inflammatory and digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers. Trolls will be banned/removed.
5. Low Effort: If you can't make an effort to post the full details, the full story so everything makes a bit of logic when reading, then wait till you have time to post accordingly.
6. Baader-Meinhof: Baader-Meinhof phenomenon, otherwise known as frequency illusion or recency illusion. This phenomenon occurs when the thing you've just noticed, experienced or been told about suddenly crops up constantly. It gives you the feeling that out of nowhere, pretty much everyone and their cousin are talking about the subject or that it is swiftly surrounding you. And you're not crazy; you are totally seeing it more. But the thing is, of course, that's because you're noticing it more [source: Zwicky].
7. Dream: Even if Martin Luther King came and posted, "I had a /r/glitch_in_the_matrix dream", we'd still remove it.
8. Sounds fake: We have a zero tolerance on fiction or AI created posts. Even if a story just SOUNDS fake it will still get deleted. Is there too much detail, over elaboration and just generally sounding like bullshit? Report it.
9. Glitches Only: Submissions that do not include glitches do not belong here. Glitches are eye-witness events that cannot be explained by ordinary means. Ghost stories are not glitches. They should be posted to /r/paranormal instead.
10. Community Violation: Play nice or we will remove the post/comment and maybe even ban you. Users with overly offensive usernames can also be banned under this rule at the discretion of the mod team. Self-promotion and spam are also not allowed or you will be banned.
11. Technological Glitch: Technological glitches will be removed because they can usually be explained.
12. One Glitch Story per Post: We do not allow multiple glitch stories in a post because it becomes difficult to moderate. Therefore you should pick your BEST story and post that on it's own. If it's not good enough to be on it's own then you should refrain from posting it.
13. Reposting a removed post: If your post was removed by our mod team, you need special permission to repost it from the mod team. Write us a moderator mail and ask before automatically reposting or you can be banned.
