Self-promotion posts are an instant permanent ban. The subreddit is strictly for 'Risky Clicks' style posts with clear, distinct, and encouraged/discouraged options, using specific title formatting and approved hosting sites.

Before you post: Explicitly banned under rule VI (Other Forbidden 50/50s) as '(Self-)Promotion' leads to an 'Instant perm ban'.

The rules, in their words

1. I. Title Formatting (Good option | Bad option): Your title has to start with [50/50], have two clear options in your title (one must be good and one must be bad), and include either "NSFL", "NSFW" or "SFW". Submit your post in this EXACT format: [50/50] First Choice (SFW) | Second Choice (NSFW) OR [50/50] First Choice (SFW) | Second Choice (NSFL) **One option should encourage people to click and the other option should discourage them from clicking.** If an option is just neutral or boring, the submission will be removed.
2. II. Only Use Approved Image Domains: Post have to be hosted on [Imgur](http://imgur.com), [Giphy](http://giphy.com), [Postimage](http://postimage.org), [Gfycat](http://gfycat.com), [Minus](http://minus.com), [YouTube](http://youtube.com), [Vimeo](http://vimeo.com), [Liveleak](http://liveleak.com), [5050.stannaz](https://5050.stannaz.uk), [5050.lowyiyiu](https://5050.lowyiyiu.com) or directly on /r/FiftyFifty.
3. III. No Illegal Content: The following options are **NOT PERMITTED**, *even if it's only the made-up option*: * Propaganda or Torture (Examples: the Christchurch shooting video or cartel executions) * Content which authorities asked the public not to share. * Rape or Molestation * Child or Animal Porn * Animal Cruelty * Dead or Injured Children * Depictions of Suicide / Intentional Self-Harm
4. IV. Descriptive, Distinct, & Clear Options: Users get one option or the other. Both options have to be descriptive, distinct & clear. Posts where both options are the same word(s) will result in bans. * **Descriptive:** It's not necessary to interpret your title. Before clicking the link, users know exactly what 2 options they can expect. * **Clear:** It's not possible to confuse the 2 options. **Instantly** after clicking the link, it's clear which option the users got - without relying on context (like video titles or 18+ warnings).
5. V. True5050 for Porn, Cute Animals & Spoilers: The following options **MUST be in True5050 form** ([5050.stannaz](https://5050.stannaz.uk) or [5050.lowyiyiu](https://5050.lowyiyiu.com)), *even if it's only the made-up option*: * Porn (sexualized nudity, actions or body parts) * Cute animals * Spoilers
6. VI. Other Forbidden 50/50s: * Memes or Low Effort Posts (Rickrolls, Spongebob, "Cursed" content, Sonic, and Shrek are instant bans) * [(Self-)Promotion](https://www.reddit.com/wiki/selfpromotion) (Instant perm ban) * Fake or hacked nudes * Animals that sound like body parts * Trans, gay or male porn as bad option * Loud noises / Jump scares * Opinions (Songs are subjectively good or bad. Not clear enough for this sub) * Villains as good option (like Hitler)
7. VII. Moderator discretion: Mods reserve the right to remove any offending post or comment *at their own discretion*. You may appeal any mod action taken against you, but you're not entitled to a response.
8. No linking to outcome: **DO NOT** link the outcomes of any posts in the comments. Users that do so ***will be BANNED.*** This applies to True5050 and Original5050 posts. Asking for links/DMs is also banworthy.
9. VI. Recent Reposts: Stop posting the same shit.
10. Flaming/Incivility: Don't be dicks. If you're trolling or insulting other users, your behaviour is not up to the standards expected of users at this sub. This is supposed to be an 18+ sub. Act accordingly.
