Self-promotion is generally restricted. You can share your OC blog/video content in the 'travel inspiration thread' but advertising services or businesses requires moderator approval. Posts that are mainly self-promotion may be banned.

The rules, in their words

1. Should be relevant to the topic: Related to travel in and around Europe.: This is subreddit for traveling to/in Europe. Posts that have main point of finding a workplace in Europe or immigration doesn't belong here. Legal questions do not belong here.
2. No advertising your own blogs/youtube videos - please keep these to the inspiration thread.: Self promotion link posts or links to generic top 10 lists and sights like Links to sites like Buzzfeed, Bored panda or WatchMojo are forbidden. You can advertise your own OC blog/video content in the travel inspiration thread. We do not allow ads in forms of "recommendations" either. Posting only or mainly self-promotion content in r/EuropeTravel will result in a ban.
3. No pictures of text or non-OC pics or photos without caption: Trip report posts with photos should include some text too, like where you were and how was it. Post only OC pictures. Do not use stolen images for gaining attention to your post. Photos in comments must add value to the comment. Memes and reaction images are strictly prohibited. Do not post pictures that contains text only. Those are not accessible to screen readers. If your post or comment was removed due to its being a photo of text, please repost it as a text.
4. No advertisments, polls, surveys, link shorteners etc. without mod approval: If you want to advertise your poll or survey here, for example poll that is part of your study, please send mods a message via Modmail before doing so. This doesn't apply to polls done by individuals using poll post option in Reddit, but polls and surveys on third party services (such as Google and Microsoft Forms). Do not advertise any services or other businesses without sending Modmail first. Posting advert as a first thing to this subreddit will get you permanently banned.
5. No illegal, unethical or otherwise prohibited questions or advice: Do not give or ask for advice that would result in breaking the law. Do not give or ask for dangerous or unethical advice. Lying in a visa application is considered fraud. Working, even remotely, without proper visa allowing you to work can be illegal too. Do not ask questions or give advice about stuff that's forbidden bt different terms, such as luggage restrictions or giving wrong name or age in check in etc.
6. No bigotry or discrimination: Absolutely no tolerance for any kind of bigotry or discrimination. This includes, but is not limited, to the following things: racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny. Don't hint at it, don't invite it.
7. No zero effort posts or comments: No zero effort posts. see pinned post. These can include: Posts looking for continent-wide travel suggestions without specifying anything; that show zero prior research or willingness to do any for yourself. Don't ask things you can easily look up yourself. Zero effort comments include ones that don't add any value to the conversation, such as comments that only include emojis or are AI generated. Single word comments are usually zero effort.
8. No visa/immigration or other legal advice: This is not a legal advice sub, and even they generally don't allow immigration-related questions. Please consult legal professionals for advice on this topic.
9. No selling, buying or reference codes: We don't allow selling or buying any kind of stuff here. This includes flight points, hotel reservations vouchers etc. and also different kinds of services. Buying and selling is prohibited due to risk of getting scammed. Do not post or ask reference codes either. Spamming these can lead to ban if you have not contributed to the subreddit other ways. You might be able to post those to r/referencecodes instead.
10. Mod discretion: While some general discussion topics are welcomed, this is primarily an information sub and on occasion we will have to lock or remove posts or comments to maintain that purpose. This is generally a positive sub, it's about holidays. Threads aimed at negativity ("Worst place you've visited" et al) don't really fit.
11. Mobile Data Questions to Megathread: Please direct all questions relating to mobile data and eSIMs to the relevant megathread, accessible from community highlights.
