Daytrading: Information for your everyday trader
Post with careYou can post, but there are rules to clear first.
Can you post your project here?
Posts sharing personal trading performance must detail what was done and why to provide advice. Selling products, services, or promoting external communities via spamming is banned. Content creators must follow specific guidelines.
Before you post: Selling products or services is banned. Posts about personal trading must include details and explanations for advice. Content creators must follow specific guidelines.
The rules, in their words
- Stay on topic: We are a DAY trading community. Long-term investing information belongs in r/investing. Also, inflammatory personal political commentary is not allowed. Political commentary related to the markets is.
- Don't glorify losses or post wins without context: No personal sob stories of losing a ton of money, glorifying losses, or how you yolo'd all your money. Instead create a post detailing what you did and ask for advice on how to improve your trading. Also, no posting screenshots of your P&L or winning trade without details on what you did and why you did it - the goal is to give advice and to help others.
- No memes, jokes, or NSFW content: r/Daytrading is a serious place, if you're spending more time trading memes instead of financial securities, then this is not the right sub for you.
- No spamming, selling or promoting your product, service or community: No spamming, selling products/services, or sharing affiliate/referral links. No promoting your discord, personal sub, or asking users to DM you. Content creators are allowed to post but must follow [these guidelines.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Daytrading/wiki/guidelines-for-content-creators) If you don't want to follow anything mentioned above, then use [Reddit advertising.](https://about.reddit.com/advertise/)
- No pumping stocks: Do not promote or make a post/comment attempting to pump a security.
- Don't be an asshole: You can provide constrictive criticism, but outright being an asshole doesn't belong here. If you're being an asshole, it's probably because you're raging from a loss - stop and deal with your issues or ask for help instead of taking it out on other people.
