Can you post your project here?

This subreddit is for posts showcasing a 'bone apple tea,' which is the mistaken use of a word or phrase for a similar-sounding dictionary-defined one. Posts must be images, have titles that exactly match the bone apple tea, and avoid identifying information. Direct links to external sites are not allowed, and text posts are also banned.

Before you post: Rule 7 explicitly bans advertising or using Reddit to buy or sell goods. This would also apply to sharing a side project or product launch.

The rules, in their words

1. Rule 1: Posts must show a bone apple tea.: A bone apple tea is the mistaken use of a real, dictionary-defined word or phrase by a human in place of another real, dictionary-defined word or phrase that sounds similar. THIS MEANS: - Both words must be in the Merriam-Webster dictionary. Words strung together don't count. - No typos/autocorrect/speech-to-text - Mistaken word must sound similar to real word - Nothing from children, ESL speakers or memes - No BATs of names of people, places, media, or brands - No homonyms/homophone/homograph
2. Rule 2: Proper Title: Your title must exactly match the bone apple tea in the post - that's the mistake, not the intended word or phrase. The bot that helps us identify potential reposts can't read text in images, so it relies on post titles to decide whether to compare a post to past images.
3. Rule 3: No reposts.: The same post may only be posted once every **3 months** if the original has less than 5000 upvotes, or **6 months** for anything higher. The same bone apple tea may only be posted **once a week**. It is up to mod discretion if it will be allowed more than that. Complaining in mod mail will NOT get your post reinstated if it has been removed for Rule 3.
4. Rule 4: No banned stuff.: **No political stuff at all, ever. Same with anything relating or referring to COVID, masking, or vaccines.** For a full list of banned phrases, please refer to the list on the sidebar below the rules.
5. Rule 5: No identifying information.: The following must be ENTIRELY hidden or cropped out: + Pictures of faces or recognizable faces of any kind regardless of who they are. + Usernames of any kind in any format on any platform including celebrities and your own name. + Sub names, titles or group names from any social media platform. + No locations **Phone numbers/addresses of any kind (even scammers) will be removed; OP will be banned and reported to reddit admin.** Including other info may result in bans of varying lengths.
6. Rule 6: Only Images That Have Been Uploaded to Reddit or Imgur: Do not directly link to other subreddits, other websites, or other site albums, videos, or anything taking place outside /r/BoneAppleTea. Your post must contain a properly anonymized image of someone using a bone apple tea. Text posts are no longer allowed and will be automatically filtered.
7. Rule 7: Don't break Reddit's ToS: This includes, but is not limited to: * racist or other hateful behavior; * advertising or using Reddit to buy or sell goods; * vote manipulation; * witch hunting; * doxxing
8. Rule 8: Follow Reddiquette.: We expect people to act in a civil manner. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
9. Rule 9: No Rule Lawyering or DMing: **DO NOT DM A MOD FOR ANY REASON. GO through modmail or you will be banned for 30 days** **Mod abuse in comments or modmail will result in a permanent ban and mute** **Rule lawyering in modmail will be replied to with a mute. Come back in 72 hours trying to argue and you will be banned and muted. If you want to change the rules, apply to be a mod.**
